I think of koda as an asexual who likes using sign* (lol at first I put sigh) language more then talking <3
So I can imagine deku learning sign language just for koda cause he wants koda to feel welcome and other he explains that he should know sign language for people who have trouble, cant, or dont like speaking
And everyone accept mineta cause I think he would be to selfish to learn, learn sign language so that koda feels for comfortable speaking <3
