It was Lauren Hemralds senior year at Casa de Hemralds? Yes, you guessed right. Lauren was homeschooled ever since second grade when her brother Jake was bullied. Jake had struggled from dyslexia and was never able to learn as quickly as others. Nobody ever understood why kids felt the need to point out his flaws and pick on him but that's all they ever did. Thus why Lauren and Jake became homeschooled. Lauren had by a shy girl growing as is and never really fit in but she still had close friends, but now that Lauren was older it was time for her to explore the world and meet new people. That's why Lauren's mom bought her a plane ticket to California where she will travel with her cousin to get out of the house, her mother said it was like her own little "Different language trip." Lauren's trip will begin in one week and throughout this short story you will be going to California with Lauren.
