Aaron lay unconscious on the couch.
His condition hadn't changed at all since Gemmy destroyed the creature locking him within his mind. He heard drifting voices, in and out, in and out.
"He's still asleep, but go on in."
"Aaron...."
"He.... Fought the hardest of them against his Illusion. He never wanted to say all those things to you...."
"When you went into his head..."
"It was almost like he wasn't even there. I could only barely feel his presence. I couldn't see him, and whenever he spoke, it sounded like he was in excruciating pain. His Illusion said that he fought like a madman whenever he was being mean to you..."
"......."
Aaron felt lucid for the first time in who knew how long. He didn't open his eyes; he didn't have the strength. "....Sto....rm.....?"
"Aaron."
"You...."
"Stop talking."
"........"
"I'm here."
Aaron weakly moved his hand from his covers, and he felt Storm take it.
"Aaron, feel better."
"So...rry...."
"Seriously, stop talking. Save your strength so you can recover."
He felt her grip on his hand tighten gently, and he slipped back under.
