The door opened to show...
Michael.
He slowly walked down the stairs. His arms, hands, and chest were all soaked in blood. He slowly looked over to the two with wide eyes, having a plain face that said nothing.
"Michael..." Nicholas mumbled, "What... What happened..??" Michael looked up to him and put his hands down.
"Okay... so..." He cleared his throat, his high voice not really going with the situation, "Can you explain who the woman in white is?"
After a while, Nicholas had finally explained to him that she was his mother, who he was, and how he was the murderer of the mansion. Michael stayed silent after and, after a few seconds, he sat down.
"Sorry, man..." Michael said out of nowhere.
"For?" Nicholas asked, turning fully to him. He was still holding the makeshift katana metal.
"I killed your mom." Michael answered, looking up to him.
"What? You of all people?!" Nicholas asked, dropping the metal and staring at him with widened eyes.
Michael scratched the back of his head, getting blood in his hair, "Y-yeah... So... Um-... I was in the kitchen when I wasn't supposed to be, since I was looking for you two, she yelled at me, then I grabbed a knife and started... uh... y'know... stabbing your mom in the throat, stomach, etcetera... I just- I couldn't find you guys and I got scared, so I thought the best thing to do was kill the one behind this all. She was the one who made us come here!.. Well... She didn't force Nick to do anything, I guess." He glanced over to Nicholas.
"Wow-..." Nicholas and Chasity said in sync.
"I would've never guessed someone like you could actually hurt someone like that..." Nicholas chuckled nervously.
"Meh... I guess that murder mystery got in my head and made me insane... I'm kidding..." Michael added that last part after the other two looked worried for him.
"Well... Since that bitch is dead, why not let me out of this? These ropes are so itchy!" Chasity asked, moving the tiniest bit under the ropes.
"Oh, yeah- Wait, why is she tied up down here?" Michael asked, standing up. Nicholas chuckled nervously as he helped with the untying of the ropes.
"Um... I needed to make her shut up, since she finally figured out herself that I was behind it all... so I knocked her out and took her here... I know- it sounds creepy." Nicholas chuckled again. Michael went over and helped untie the ropes, glancing over to Nicholas idly at times.
After a few seconds, Chasity got her hands free. After she did, she looked to Nicholas.
"See? I knew you were actually right handed!" She spoke, crossing her arms. It felt good that she could actually do that now.
"What- Actually..." Nicholas smiled to her, booping her on the nose with his left hand, "I'm ambidextrous. Not just right handed." He then got up as Michael finished the rest of the leg ropes. Chasity got up and smiled, then looked back to Nicholas.
"Hm... Makes sense." She responded. Then, she stood on her tip toes and slapped him hard across the cheek. He held his cheek with widened eyes, then looked back to Chasity.
"Excuse me? What was that for??" He asked.
She grit her teeth, "For putting me down here, for going through with all of this, and for making me actually forgive you!" And then, she reached up, grabbed the sides of his face, and kissed him roughly on the mouth.
She pulled back after a few seconds, "And that's for making me care about you!!"
Nicholas was extremely red. He couldn't believe what had just happened. He had just gotten kissed by the person he liked.
Nicholas cleared his throat, "W-well then... We should probably... head out now..." He was avoiding all eye contact with Chasity that he could. He started walking out, grabbing the metal piece again. Chasity glanced to Michael and then back to Nicholas, following right behind him, as did Michael.
They had all came out from a door in the kitchen. It closed behind them and Chasity saw that it just looked like a regular wall from the outside.
"Hm..." She mumbled as she continued to walk with the other two. They saw the dead corpse of the woman in white- or- Ven. She was lying dead on the cold kitchen floor, her already pale skin turning into a white pasty color now. She had a huge gash on her throat through her stomach that was caused by Michael. Chasity sighed as she stepped over the dead body. Everything was over now.
Nicholas led them to two big double doors. There, he pulled out a key and unlocked them, showing a bright yellow/white light. Their eyes adjusted to see...
Outside.
Trees, grass, birds chirping, flowers, and a big road that went to this place. It stopped at the steps up to the house, but was clearly a driveway. Chasity couldn't believe her eyes. She was finally free! Her and her two friends could finally go home!
Nicholas glanced over to the others, "Well... What are we waiting for?" Chasity and Michael looked over, bright smiles on their faces.
"I can't believe it... We can finally leave!" Chasity said, starting to walk down the stairs.
Michael was the next to speak, "Yeah! I can see my parents again- uh... Err... Sorry Nick... about your parents- or, parent." Nicholas chuckled.
"It's quite alright, friend. She kind of deserved it."
Michael chuckled lightly as they finally made it to the pavement of the driveway.
They looked at the future in front of them and chased after it.
