"We have to help them," Luna says, as we hold Baby and hide behind the car."My mom is here somewhere--- I don't think he'll hurt her, and I'll bet he knows where she is," I point out.
"So if we find your mom then we'll be safe," Luna says.
"Maybe my mom can convince him to stop," I add.
"I want to go help!"" Baby struggles.
"No, you have to stay with us," Luna says, "You heard Dodger."
"Sister."
I look up. Eris is standing not ten feet from us. She's wearing a torn back dress, and her face is crusty with blood. Her hair shorter than mine and hangs around her face, tangled and unbrushed.
"You took over my mind," I say.
"Brig---" Luna knows damn well I'm about to start a fight.
"I'm sorry," Eris says, folding her arms.
"I don't care," I say, drawing the heat from her and setting her dress on fire.
