"Letters, it's time kid!"

The big burly officer along with another fellow officer, was to escorted Latrell out of his cell.

" It was almost 100 homie. Have a good life. Make good choices."

Latrell got up from the floor, dabbing his cell mate up before grabbing his short pulling it over muscular frame.

The three years Latrell spent in Jail was a long one, but it made it him better. He exercised every other day we he needed to. Had alot of respect, and even learned some lessons from his elderly cell mate.

He was handed another chance by the state. He was let out on good behavior and because the jail was over crowded, they decided to let him off, but he were to meet with his P.O once a week.

The guards handed his his things, he didn't say anything but he was happy that he was getting the hell out of that place.

The sounds of the gates opening was the greatest sound Latrell has heard in a long time. Three years wasn't shit to a random person, but to someone like him it felt like centuries.

A black van with green rims was parked out in the far front of the corrections giving Latrell a much needed walk, but he was ready to get out of there.

When he reached the car his brother, Devonte, dabbed him up once Latrell was inside the car.

" You could've came around." Latrell informed, his voice almost booming.

" Damn, baby bro. What happened to yo voice?" Devonte laughed.

" Can we go, I'm hungry."

A small diner rested just a few blocks from the Jail. The two walked in, Latrell looking around taking in the scene. The smell of burgers invaded his nostrils.

They sat down at booth, Latrell was thankful that it was overly crowded. He wanted to go back home. Home. Where Lydia was. The Lydia he left. The Lydia who he stopped all contact with because he figured his life was over.

" Glad you back bro. We got some shit to tend to back at home, we can't be caught slippin again." Devonte assured him with a firm voice.

" I heard, but right now I'm just gonna stay low. I don't want no heat right now and I just got out. Ya feel me."

Devonte smirked.

" What you craving? Anything you want is on me." Devonte patted his chest.

" Shit, simple. Triple cheese with a large fry and shake."

A slim lighter skinned woman came up to the table with her uniform skirt hiked up a little too high. She looked between the boys and smirked and although Latrell was flattered, he didn't really like.... Light toned women.

Nothing against them. They were still pretty, he just liked them darker. Reminded him of a Hershey bar.

" Can I get you two anything?" She asked.

" Two triple cheese, with a side of fries and and two strawberry shakes."

Devonte caught a glimpse up the waitresses skirt as she walked away, rubbing his hands together and biting his lip.
