Season 3 West and Daniel:

This is set after Chloe leaves to tour with the ballet company and A-troupe are auditioning for a new dance. Daniel shows up at the audition but unfortunately doesn't make it.

Stephanie got the spot. Daniel felt defeated. He couldn't get into Juilliard; he couldn't even get into A-troupe. It was unfair, he'd worked his whole life to dance and it was all thrown away, he had nowhere to go. He put his heart in soul dancing to 'full of grace' he connected to the song more than anything.

Behind him, the whole team was celebrating and congratulating Stephanie. He walked over, head down, to the dance bag area to get his things and finally leave the next step for good.

"Juices on me!" Stephanie says while they all scurry out of the studio. It was quiet, Daniel thought he was alone. Tears filled his eyes as he felt worthless.

"Hey." West scared Daniel with the greeting. He turned around to face west walking over to him, hands in his pockets and smiling.

West and Daniel had past memorable moments together. Before regionals, Daniel caught feeling for West. West wasn't exactly sure of his sexuality, but he felt a strange connection to Daniel and always had. Even when Daniel did awful things to the team, he never blamed him. He knew what he was like, getting competitive all the time. I guess you could say that he's stuck by Daniel from the start.

"Hey." Daniel forces a smile, he loved talking to West but at the moment he wanted to be left alone.

Wests smile fades as he reads Daniel's face.

"Are you all good?" he walked closer to him with his eyebrows raised.

"Yep, I'm fine!" Daniel says trying not to sound or look hurt.

West doesn't dwell on the subject, not wanting to make Daniel feel worse.

"I Thought your solo was beautiful." He says while sitting down on the bench, observing Daniel.

"Wasn't good enough for A-troupe though." Daniel shakes his head in disappointment.

"Yes, it was. We both know it was." Daniel looks down trying to hold back a smile, still not facing west though.

West gets off the bench and stands next to Daniel.

"so what are you going to do now?" Daniel has no other choice but to face him.

He shrugs his shoulders because he honestly doesn't know what he's going to do.

"I could try and kick someone off the team for you," West says sarcastically, he would do it for Daniel though, he would do anything for him.

"Come one, you're too nice for that." They both share a laugh. West was happy to see his smile. He catches his eye and their laughs fade as they stare into each other's eyes.

"I've missed everyone on the team. Well not that anyone missed me, but you know," Daniel says breaking the eye contact.

"Sure they have, I mean they might be mad at you, but they do miss you. Especially me." West smiles, Daniel is blushing. He didn't think

"Can you do me a favour?" west asks tilting his head to the side. Daniel furrows his brows, he wanted to hear what it was before he agrees to anything. "Would you mind doing your solo again?"

"Why?" Daniel didn't know why he was asking.

"I just, uh, wanted to see it again." West's hand rubs the back of his neck, and he looked to the ground, getting a bit shy. West was never shy; Daniel did have some hold over his heart.

Daniel's heart exploded on the inside. "Ok." He smiles getting up and walking into the middle of the studio. West stood on the side.

Daniel dances to full of grace once again. You could tell how passionate he was when he was dancing. He had improved a lot and west could tell. The emotion put into his dancing passed onto other people as watched him.

West couldn't help but be disappointed that he didn't make it onto the team. His dancing was good enough to get him anywhere. West stood there watching the moves flow through his body as he let the music take control.

Once he was done, west applauded him. Daniel appreciated his support and walked over to him trying to catch his breath.

"Amazing." West smiled clapping on Daniel's back softly.

Just as Daniel was about to speak the rest of the team was heard coming down the halls.

"I better go." Daniel flicked his eyesight to the door.

"Yeah." West stepped aside letting him get to his bag. "Call me sometime?" West said winking cheekily. Daniel laughed but nodded, waving goodbye. As he walked out the crowd walked in James looked from Daniel to West and smiled. He knew they liked each other but he didn't want to embarrass west by talking to him about it.
