There was a sound of a loud bang as the front door opened. Tasha stormed in and sat down. Mommy followed, but then she noticed the backdoor open. Then she went pale. 'Nel!! No God no! Don't tell me you are outside after I told you not to!' She dashed to the door only to see me frightened. 'I-I'm so sorry Mo-' but before I could finish she tugged me inside and shut the door on Levi's face. I burst into tears. 'Stop crying you brat! Mommy crystal clearly told you not to go but you disobeyed her. How sad. I really want to see you getting hit.' Tasha said snickering.
There I was, lying in the corner of my room, full of cuts and bruises. I heard both of them laughing in the dining room. By now, my coughs were worse than before. It felt like being strangled each time my lungs pressured me to cough out. There were a few knocks on my window and it opened. Then Levi's face popped out. 'Hey...Nelly, how are you? Feeling any better?'
'Yeah.' I lied.
'Oh, ok then, take care of yourself.' He smiled then ran off leaving the window open, exposing me to the freezing air.
