Himikos pov

I followed the directions kokichi gave me to the wolfkin festival. I was kinda excited but nervous about the whole thing. They wouldn't try and eat me would they?!

I finally arrived at the destination. There were bright lights and red lanterns lightning up the sky. My eyes lit up in wonder. This is unlike anything I've ever seen!

"himiko you made it!" kokichi ran up and hugged me. I felt my cheeks warm up slightly at the content.

"this festival looks beautiful" I muttered.

"doesn't he" he grinned as he took my hand "come on you gotta see the festival up close!"

"o-ok" I muttered as he dragged me inside.

There were wolfkins everywhere dressed in komonos. It was a little overwhelming.

"kokichi you little shit" I heard someone yell.

"oh snap!" kokichi hid behind me "cover me please"

"what do you mean-"

"there you are" I looked up to see a female wolfkin with green ribbons. Behind her was a cheery looking wolfkin with white hair.

"oh hey tenko, Angie" kokichi chuckled nervously.

"kokichi who is this human girl?" tenko raised an eyebrow.

"Well she's umm-"

"she's super adorable!" tenko pulled me into a rough hug. I whined uncomfortably. What's up with this girl?

"ohh I agree" Angie smiled a little creepily at me "would you like to become one of atuas followers little one?"

"run himiko she's trying to trick you into joining her weird cult" kokichi took my hand and the two of us ran away from them.

"get back here with that adorable human kokichi!" tenko yelled as she and Angie chased after us

I two of us laughed as we outran them. This whole thing felt so new and exciting. I didn't want it to ever-

My thoughts were cut off by the glares the other wolfkins were shooting at us. I clung to kokichi nervously. Do they really hate me already?

"don't worry himiko there not glaring at you" kokichi said calmly "it's me they really hate"

"why would they hate you?" I asked feeling very confused. I mean he's part of their pack isn't he?

He turned back to me with a grin "they don't like me much cause I'm a bit of a troublemaker" so he's hated by his own family just for being himself.

We're more alike than I thought.

"alright everyone get ready for the blood moon dance"
