I breathed in the drafty air. I bet it wasn't like this on earth. Sometimes I just wish I could go back to where it all started, and stopped all this mayhem.

I sigh as I put all of my leftover belongings Into  my bag, and drag them in the truck to be sent off to the ship with all my other stuff. My mother kissed my cheek with her puffy eyes. Her hair slicked back,  not a wrinkle on her face.

Perks of Mars air, you know.

I say one last goodbye to my mother and I get into the car that was sent to my house. I watch through the window as all the city sights dissapear behind me. We arrive at the ship port.

All 350 ships perfectly aligned.

Each with 75 little house complexes inside them, equipped with enough food to last a few years, and fully armed with guns, tazers and anything you could imagine you would need to protect yourself. There are three  gigantic event halls. And 30 staff rooms.

The government sure didn't take it easy while making these ships I'll tell you that, they don't fuck around. This shit isn't that expensive nowadays though.

I was in ship number 57, complex number 37. Once I actually got into the ship I had really just realized how huge this thing actually was. I was guided to my house and I was very surprised with how it looked. No cheap wallpaper or dirty bathrooms in sight, which is a good thing, I guess. I climbed up the stairs and nearly had a heart attack when I saw a man sitting on a bed in one of the bedrooms.

"What the hell?" I murmur. I didn't know this 'house' came with a room mate. At least he is hot.

My mind has no chill.

"Hello to you too." He says laughing as he flipes the page on his holographic book.

"Sorry I just.. um.. I didn't know we were having roommates. " I say and he nods his head. I awkwardly just stand there.

"Since your not going to introduce your self, my name is Apollo. What's your name?

" He says emphasizing the last sentence.

I just realized he isn't wearing a shirt.

He starts laughing and I realize he knows I was checking him out.

"Oh um sorry. I was .. uh.. just wondering if those are steel implants or real." I say referring to his abs. God damn it nice going Cecilia.

"There real."He says awkwardly.

"Oh my name is Cecilia, sorry." I reply.

"Hi Cecilia sorry. I like your last name. It's really interesting, is it Greek or irish or-"

" Aw will you just shut it." I say jokingly punching his arm.

Maybe this won't suck after all.
