You sighed as you just didn't mind your classmates who were casually throwing paper at you, and yelling 'fatty' or 'ugly' to you. You decided to just let them bully you all they want. You got tired of fighting back and you knew no one is gonna be there for you.

"Oi ugly! You should get out of here."
You sighed and obliged, you got your things and got out, you were currently holding back your tears as you decided to go to your special spot. You went behind the school and went under a big tree, it was calming to be there since you can forget all those hurtful words they've said to you. You hummed as you started to play 'Prom Queen.'

You then started singing, and you never noticed Keisuke Baji, the school's campus crush. Was smiling as he listened to you sing. After you finished singing he clapped his hands as you flinched.

"You have a nice voice,"
he said smiling at you. You slightly smiled back at him. "Thanks." He smiled and sat next to you, "Can you sing again?" he asked as you nodded.

"Sure, what song would you like me to sing?"

"Anything!"

You chuckled at how energetic he was as you sang another song. Ever since you two interacted that day, you two started hanging out and you even met his friends. And they were nice to you. You started hanging out with them but you didn't know that some people are jealous of you, and your bullies became more and more violent towards you. Every day you've been wearing long sleeves to hide the bruises they gave you, you also stopped hanging out with Keisuke and his friends. You stopped going to your spot since you knew Keisuke would be there waiting for you.

One night, [ the night before Bloody Halloween ] you were studying in your room when you heard soft thuds in your window. You looked in the direction where it came from and went there.

"Baji?"
you muttered as he smiled and took the ladder that Chifuyu and Takemichi were holding. He climbed up and smiled at you, he got in through the window as he sighed.

"I know you were bullied and you were avoiding us because they got violent towards you."
You bit your lower lip as you just looked away.

"Don't worry they won't bother you anymore,"
he said as he smiled and hugged you.
You blushed and hugged him back.

"Just know that I'll always be with you," he said as you smiled. "Thank you, Baji."
The four of you chatted for a bit before they all went home. Talking to them was relieving, it was like one of your favorite things to do with them. Just talking with each other.

-the next day-

You looked at your window sighing. It was a holiday so there was no class, you got a text from Baji as you looked at it.

"Hey y/n, thanks for making me feel assured. You've always comforted me these past months and I'm thankful. And also I'm sorry that I'll be leaving you this time... I can't defend or beat up your bullies anymore, but don't worry! Chifuyu and Takemitchy will stay by your side... And also.. I've been hiding these feelings for a long time now.. I've liked you ever since that day I found you singing in that tree... But guess I can't love you any more of what I am about to do. I love you."

You suddenly got teary-eyed as you quickly went to the place where they were having their fight.
Using your bike you quickly drove off there.

By the time you got there, it was already too late, you saw Baji lying there in Chifuyu's arms, lifeless. You silently sobbed as you quickly fled the scene.

A year has passed since his death as you were now working on a local food chain. You've regained your desired weight and you are living happily, or at least that's what they say. You were still depressed about his death, you took sleeping pills every night just so you can sleep, you can't sleep without it since there's always this haunting feeling, keeping you awake.

'I had enough of this..'
you thought as you stared at the river below you. You were on a bridge in the middle of the night and only a few cars were passing by.

' I'm coming Baji..'
You smiled as you got up on the grill and looked at the sky.

"Oi!"A voice yelled as you didn't mind and jumped off.
"Shit." the latter cursed as it quickly followed behind you.

-time skip-

You slowly wake up in an unfamiliar room as you sat up and look around. It was a nice room, it had a nice vintage collage on one side, a desk near the bed, a wardrobe, a restroom next to the desk, and it had pictures of two males together. One had a scar on his eye and one had withered colored hair that has purple eyes. You heard the door open as the man with the scar appeared.

"Oh, you're awake. Here you should eat this."
he said as he placed the food on his desk. He sat next to you and sighed.

"Why did you jump on that river?"
he asked. You fiddled with your fingers.

"I was... Tired of living."
He sighed and held your hand.

"Then can I be your reason to live?"
He spoke as you blushed. He giggled and introduced himself.

"Kakucho Hitto."

"Y/n L/n."

He smiled as he ruffled your hair. Months passed, you and Kakucho got to know each other, you two bonded. Both of you shared secrets and memories. You told him you were once a fatty, and he just smiled.

"I will still love you despite that."

Kakucho was like Baji, he made you feel special. He made you feel things you couldn't explain, he made sure you felt love. And eventually, as time passed, you were falling for him deeper. And the same goes for him.
