Author POV:
School was out for the rest of the week and it will soon be the weekend. How you loved weekends, but hated how they ended so fast -_- However, when you're with Mark and Johnny, you three make the best out of it as good as you guys can. Y'all plan things during the week after homework through a group chat, and go out on weekends.
The cold and chilly wind blew your hair back and hit your skin as you were walking off campus to go home. You shivered a bit, as you forgot your sweater at home and was wearing a long sleeve that couldn't keep you that warm from the cold weather.
"Y/n! Wait up." you hear Mark call out from behind you. You stop your steps so he can catch up to you. Once he did, he gave you a small smile and handed you a hoodie of his.
"I saw you shivering just now. Did you forget your sweater?" he asks and you nodded. "You're lucky I had this extra one in my backpack. But if I didn't, I'd still give you the one I'm wearing. Don't want you getting sick." he sighed and you both started walking.
"Do you know where Johnny is?" you asked Mark. "He's at a student council meeting. He said to just walk without him for today." He explained. You make an 'o' shape with your mouth in response.
"I've been meaning to ask. Uh, did you want to perhaps go to the Halloween dance with me? You know, as friends." Mark asked.
"Sure, but if we're going as friends, should we tell Joh-"
"I want it to be just you and me. Johnny hyung's probably gonna go out with some other girl." Mark says and you both stop at the cross walk, waiting for the cars to pass.
"Oh.." you slightly blushed at the fact Mark wanted the two of you to go, almost as a date to the dance. You did like Mark, but you weren't sure about your feelings. You felt like you still needed to process and sort out your feelings for him. This topic would keep you up at night, thinking about what if you got rejected by Mark? What would Johnny think if Mark were to reject you, since they've been best friends for years. Do I really see Mark as a best friend, or no? You shook your thoughts away as Mark spoke again.
"Earth to y/n? Are you there?" Mark waved his hand in front of your face. "U-uh, what were you saying?" you asked, laughing nervously. "I asked what should we go as to the dance, unless you want to decide on that later, then that's fine by me." he looked at you. "We can decide later, its a couple weeks from now so yea." You said and you both crossed the street.
"Mark, how does one sort out their feelings for someone?" you asked. "What makes you ask this?" he questioned. "I like this one guy but I'm not sure if he feels the same and I'm also not sure if I really like him." you explained.
"Uh..I'm not really good at giving advice about this stuff, but I'd say you'll find out soon, through new memories you create with him or just the obvious feelings, like how your heart beats fast when you're with him. That sounded cheesy, oh my god-" Mark covers his face in embarrassment. "No, Mark, it's okay. I get what you're saying." you giggled a bit.
Mark POV:
She likes someone? I'm dying to know now. What if it's Johnny hyung? Or Haechan? Or maybe Taeyong- I need to stop thinking about this right now.
Y/n's phone began to ring.
"Hello?" she answered. "Oh, okay. Bye, I love you." she said and ended the phone call.
"Jaehyun said my parents and him aren't gonna be home till 7pm. Can I stay at your place for a little?" She asked and I immediately nodded. "Of course you can." I smiled.
*Time skip*
I opened the front door and let y/n in. "You're house is always more cleaner than mine. Like every time I come over, it's cleaner than before." Y/n commented. "I'll take that as a compliment." I chuckled. "So uhm.. what do you wanna do?" I asked her. "Hmm.. do you wanna play some games? Or how about you teach me to play your guitar." She placed her backpack next to the sofa. As soon as she mentioned teaching her to play my guitar I immediately nodded. "I can teach you, I've been thinking about teaching you but I wasn't sure if you would be interested." I scratch the back of my neck. "No, I wanna learn. Of course I'm interested in learning how to play the guitar." She said with positivity. "Then let's go to my room." I lead her to my bedroom upstairs.
We sat down on the bed and I grabbed my guitar sitting next to my bed. "Okay first, I wanna see what you know about playing this so far." I gave her the guitar. "I think I only know how to strum it, I forgot the chords I learned in music class from elementary." She strummed the guitar once. "Don't worry, no one would remember the chords especially since you learned them way back." I said and took the guitar to show her some chords.
*Time Skip (again)*
Y/n POV:
I grabbed my backpack, getting ready to go home. "You don't have to walk home, I can drop you off if you want. I mean, you're gonna need some energy if you're gonna be moving into your dorm tomorrow." Mark offered and I accepted. "Sure, and thank you." I beamed a smile.
"No problem, anything for you." Mark grabbed his keys and we headed out.
The drive was quiet, but in a good way. It was a short drive anyways since my house was a few blocks away.
"Thanks for the ride, Mark. I'll see you and Johnny later tomorrow." I bid goodbye and head inside my house.
"Still crushing on him?" Jaehyun smirked. "Shut up, Jae." I threw a pillow from the couch at him. "Just tell him you like him." Jaehyun suggested. "No, I don't think I'm ready to tell him yet. Yea, he asked me out to the Halloween dance but I'm sure he doesn't mean it as more than friends..right?" I said. "Girl, if he asked you out to the dance, it for sure means he likes you." Jaehyun flicked my forehead. "Ow, what was that for?" I rubbed my forehead. "For being an oblivious dummy. Why can't you see what I see?" Jaehyun shakes his head. "Let's talk about this some other time. Anyways, how's Johnny been?" He asks. "You're best friends with him as well, why are you asking me? Don't you know the answer to that?" I questioned as I go to the kitchen and grab instant noodles.
"He hangs out with you more, I have other things I have to do, so I don't get to talk to him that much anymore." Jaehyun explained. "Well, he's been good, just doing student council things as usual." I said as I poured hot water into the instant noodle cup. "Hmm. Has he thought of asking anyone out to the dance?" Jaehyun leans on the counter. "No, not that I know of, and he hasn't said anything about asking anyone. Mark says he thinks he might ask some other girl out." I replied.
We both heard someone knocking on the front door. I go to answer the door, revealing Johnny.
"Oh, hey Johnny. We were just talking about you." I said as I let him inside.
