Chapter 18

I woke up in a hospital bed. I had an ice pack on my head. Nick was in my room with me. "W-what happened?" I stammered. "Uh, you pulled me out from punching Tyson and I punched you instead on accident..."

"Oh. Well your punches hurt like hell."

"I can tell you're in the hospital."

"Don't punch me ever again please." We both died laughing.

"I don't plan on it anytime soon."

Just then the doctor came in. "Oh it's great to see you're awake. I'll check you out one last time and then send you on your way."

"Okay. Thank you doctor." He came over and examined me and then had a nurse come give me paper work.

After I got out of the hospital, I went to Brent's room. The doctor came in to check up on him.

"Well there is good news and bad news. Which do you want first."

"Uh, good I guess."

"Well Brent is doing really good, the bad news is it seems that he won't be waking up anytime soon."

"And how long is that going to be?"

"I can't really say for sure, but it looks like a month or two."

"Oh. Okay. Thank you for the news."

"No problem. I'll be back to check on him later."

"Okay. Thank you doctor."

"How long was I out for?" I asked Nick.

"Not long. Just like 6 hours."

"Oh. Okay. So nothing long?"

"Nope." "Well that's good."

"Yeah. So Mia, about what happened in the cafeteria..."

"It's fine, really."

"No, I want to know who Tyson is and why he was grabbing your arm."

"Oh, he has a huge crush on me and he told me that and then I said I'm going to check on Brent and yeah he wouldn't let me go. Then the fight happened."

"Oh. Well he's not the only one with a huge crush on you."

"And who else does?" I knew it would be him. I was waiting for him to say it.

"Well obviously Brent does and Tyson."

"Well duh. Thanks for telling me the obvious that I already knew."

Just then my phone started buzzing. I had a text message. That's weird.

Unknown number: Hey, Mia, I'm your new secret admirer.
