A/N Hi, I'm sorry it took so long to do this chapter, I'm going through a bit of a hard time; my dad left.

Anyway I hope you guys enjoy this, thank you for reading this, it makes my day ❤

Kiara grumbled with disgust.

The food eaten here on the base did keep her healthy, but it was absolutely revolting. She watched as Trix pulled a weevil out of his oaty brown glop, gagging.

At least she hoped they were oats.

Mealtimes were the worst here. No breakfast, no lunch(for appetite suppression) and weevil stew for dinner. Kiara knew that it was for her own good though, and the good of the Neverseen. She was their star member, after all.

"Hey, lovebirds!" yelled Trix from across the table they were all eating at.

Ruy looked down, blushing. Kiara, seeing his reaction smirked at him and laughed.

"Shut up." he grumbled. Kiara just laughed harder.

Trix and Kiara high fived, and Kiara saw Trix's sleeve fall back a bit to an ugly wound. It was swollen, bruised and bleeding and Kiara frowned.

"What's that?"

Trix's face filled with horror when he realised she had seen it.

"N-nothing."

"I know it was there, what is it? Who gave it to you?"

Trix heaved a sigh. He knew he wouldn't be able to get out of this one- Kiara was stubborn.

"Fine. Gisela."

"Mother?!"

Her mother? No. Her mother wouldn't punish anyone like that. Yes, she was fierce and strong, but that was one of Kiara's favourite things about her. But looking at Trix's reaction, she knew he wasn't joking.

"Liar!" Kiara spat.

Trix shrunk back. Kiara's face twisted into a scowl.

"Kia..." Ruy warned, touching her arm. Snatching her arm away, she met Trix's eyes.

"You're an Empath. Surely you can feel I'm telling the truth."

Still scowling, Kiara did as he said and let herself feel his emotions.

Sadness, fear...sincerity...

He wasn't lying.
