WHISPERING SECRETS
Morning came again, and just like before, Dwayne has no plans of going back to school. Instead, she decided to go to the mall to buy Monique a gift. With Monique's help, Dwayne was able to book a room in Fern Palace even though she's still a year behind adulthood. She promised her a limited edition clothing in exchange for doing her a favor.
Dwayne was done shopping and was about to go to the restroom before she returns home. She suddenly saw a familiar face inside a restaurant, causing her to stop. She's familiar, but at the same time, she couldn't remember where or when she saw her.
Giving up, Dwayne shook the thought off and continued walking. After taking a leak, she went out of the cubicle and washed her hands. When she lifted her head, she saw that person again, fixing her hair in front of the mirror.
Dwayne couldn't hold her curiosity anymore and decided to talk to her. "Excuse me," she started. "Have we met before? I have a feeling that I know you," she said.
The girl stopped fixing herself and faced Dwyane. "I'm sorry. I don't think we have," she said, moving away from her. Dwayne is a complete stranger to her, so naturally, she didn't want to be so close to her. "It's my first time meeting you."
"Ah... I see." Dwayne nervously chuckled. "I must be mistaken. I'm sorry." She excused herself and left the restroom.
Dwayne took a cab to return to Fern Palace and quickly called Monique to come over. To impress her cousin, she tried making something out of the groceries she bought. She may not be a good cook as Kian, but Dwayne's a whole different character. There's nothing Dwayne couldn't do.
She let her body take over and made fried rice, following nothing but her instincts. She's confident about it, seeing its appetizing colors. Its smell also gives her a feeling that it turned out well.
The doorbell rang, indicating that Monique was already there. Dwayne quickly took a clean plate and transferred the dish into it. She made it look neat and pretty for Monique to adore. "A minute!" She said and fixed herself before opening the door.
Monique stood there with her arms crossed. Dwayne can't help but see Aramina in Monique's character. It's one of the reasons why she asked for Monique's help in the first place. "What took you so long?" Monique asked and started sniffing. "And why does your room smell like a restaurant?"
"I thought it was rude to send you off without offering you some food. I made some fried rice over there so we could talk to each other while eating. I haven't seen you for so long. I want to know what you've been up to."
Monique narrowed her eyes. "What's the sudden change of attitude? You're creeping me out." She went in and went straight to the dining room.
Dwayne closed the door then looked at Monique, smelling the fried rice on the table. She does act like Rami. She chuckled and took the paper bag with a limited edition cardigan inside, bringing it to Monique. "No way." Monique quickly stood up in shock. "No fucking way!"
"Why?" Dwayne asked, handing it to her.
"It's a Chanel cardigan that shouldn't be out before the sixteenth! How did you get this?" Monique took out the clothing and covered her mouth, not believing that she's actually holding it right now. "How is this possible?"
