Two years. It's been two years since I escaped that place.
Your ass didn't just escape...
Right. It's been two years since I burned the place down. And yes, there were people inside.
Yeah, yeah, call me heartless, but that building was the headquarters of an assassin-creating organization. There were more like it across the globe, where they brought in innocent children and trained them to be obedient weapons.
Unfortunately for me, I was their favorite pet. So I got the most brutal training. Thanks to the lab experiments they did on me, I can now survive extreme weather conditions, and I barely feel pain anymore.
After planning since I was 10, plotting for five long years, I finally burned it all down and fled.
There are five remaining locations of these operations: one in America, two in Russia, one in Italy, and one in Spain. I've taken down all but the American base.
I'm not just any assassin. I am La Padrona del Diavolo (The Devil's Mistress). The top, most deadliest assassin.
To get into foreign territories, I usually need permission from local mafias, except in Italy. Italy is where I became who I am today. I have alliances with most of the powerful mafia families. Those who don't ally with me... serve under me.
The only reason I haven't torched the American HQ yet is because of the painful memories tied to that place. My biological family lives there, my sperm and egg donors and their spawns. I do miss my twin brother and my fifth eldest brother, Matteo.
I know Ethan my twin and Matteo are still looking for me. I've dropped hints that I'm alive... that I still remember them. But I'm just not ready to face the rest of them yet.
Since my family leads the American Mafia, I technically need their permission to enter their land. Not that they can deny me, but mafia laws are... archaic. Once I become the Underworld's Regina, though, I'm changing that law.
The Underworld's Regina is the most powerful position in our world. Currently, it's held by my mother figure, my best friend's mom. She decided to pass the title to me, believing I'm powerful enough to handle it. Her daughter, my best friend, is the soon-to-be Second Ghost.
The top five positions in the Underworld are called the Ghosts:
First Ghost – The Underworld's Regina
Second Ghost – My second-in-command
Third Ghost – Runs the Ghost Mafia, no allies
Fourth Ghost – Oversees mafia wars and gang conflicts
Fifth Ghost – Controls the government, police, and FBI
Their identities will be revealed when the time comes.

"Earth to my bitch?"
Resa's voice snapped me out of my thoughts.
"Get your good-for-nothing fat ass up. We're going clubbing," she said, bouncing like a five-year-old.
"Get readyyyy," she whined again. "Come on, I've already got your dress and makeup ready!"
