Maya sits against the wall with her eyes closed in her shared cell with the winter soldier. She experienced quite the beating after she refused to hurt him. She looked bloody and broken to him and it made his blood boil. Maya felt the cool tight metal of the handcuffs that keeps her from using her powers leave her wrists. "What are you doing?" She questioned the winter soldier hesitantly, "helping you escape" he answered simply. "N-no winter I'm not leaving you here alone" she stuttered out. He looked her in the eyes and said the three words she didn't want to hear in a life or death situation, "i love you mercy". Her cuffs had alarms on them and when there removed the alarm will go off. "Mercy go". Maya looked at the broken man and lifted her pinky up said the 8 words that began her story "I pinky promise I'll come back for you". With that she used her powers to teleport to Russia were she suspected her sister yelena was. This is were their story beings.
