Friendship. A friend is one that knows you as you are, understands where you've been, accepts what you have become, and still, gently allows you to grow. The language of friendship is not words, but meanings.

True friendship multiplies the good in life and divides its evils. Me personally, I strive to have friends, but some friendships don't always work out. If you find one good friend in a lifetime, that's good fortune. The real challenge is keeping them as your blessing.

I don't need a friend who changes when I change, I need a real one. Friendship is the hardest thing to explain. It's not something you learn in school. If you haven't learned the meaning of true friendship, you really haven't learned anything.

I think If I've learned anything about friendship, it's to hang in, stay connected, fight for them, and let them fight for you. Don't walk away, don't be distracted, don't be too busy or tired, don't take them for granted. My best friend, Chris, is the one who brings out the best in me.

Chris and I have been friends since we were 8, we're now 23. We were actually born one day apart with me being a day older. Of course we've had our ups and downs like most friends, but we always seem to find a way to keep our bond strong.

Once Chris started getting big in the music industry, he began to change. He even got in trouble with the law a couple of times, but I still stood by him. He did me bold, but I still stood by him trying to keep him on the right page.

Most people see him as a monster, but he's not. If more people could see the real Chris, I'm sure they'd take their opinion back as quick as they stated it.

I was interrupted from my thoughts by my phone ringing.

I smiled at the screen seeing Chris' name flash across my screen. I slid my finger across the phone and spoke.

"Hello?"

"Hey Bri, I got the snacks. I'll be there in about 5 minutes."

"Okay. The pizza is here, so hurry up Chrissy!" I said into the phone.

"Mane. That's so gay. bye." He hung up the phone.

I giggled before getting up to change.

Chris

Today is one of the many days Bri and I spend together. We call it our lazy day. We block out everything else when we're together. It's like I'm a whole different person when I'm around her. She sees the real in me, even when I did her wrong in the past.

She stands her ground just like a guy would, and She always gets the last word.

I pulled into her driveway getting the bags from the backseat. As I closed the back door, I looked up at her open bedroom window. I had a clear view of her. I watched as she lifted her tank top stretching hers arms upward revealing her breast. My mouth dropped wide open.

She cut the show short by putting on one of my black pyramid hoodies. I shook my head and walked into her house since I knew she never locked the door. She needs to learn to do so. Since high school, it feels as if our relationship has altered.

I don't see her as that tomboy who would throw punches at anyone who came at her wrong. I see her as this sexy flirtatious independent woman. I've thought about letting her know how I feel, but then I think back to our friendship. 15 years that I don't want to risk because of my feelings. She's my bestfriend, and I'd hate to lose her.

We were laying out on the couch while she was wrapped in her Steelers blanket as Red Tails came to an end.

"Well, looks like we're out of snacks." I said looking into the many empty bags on the floor.
