Prologue

It was a dewy but pleasing morning. It was dawn and the all the animals began to frolic and prance about.Doing things that animals do.In a small village there were monsters of all sizes, colors, and species.

In one house there was a tiny goblin.A 3 foot tall painter who worked for the king and other dynasties who were over him.He believes his life is pretty normal and doubts there will ever be something so drastic to change it.

America was peacefully sleeping in his home when the birds started trying to sing him awake. He was so tired from painting all night he had a long time before he was going to wake up.But "No pain no gain, right?" that's at least what he told himself.

"But breaks are still allowed" he would always add at the end of his quote.Several minutes later the birds' tunes and melodies had finally woken him up to the eye blazing sunlight.

He rubbed his cheeks trying his best to stay awake.Once he decided it was time for him to get out of bed he went outside still in his pajamas, to tend to his garden. Not a garden for food, but a garden for his paint.

He took care of this garden; growing the plants, picking them when they were grown, washing them in the nearby river, bringing them washed produce home to crush grind and crush it up, then finally slowly but carefully placing the newly created paint in containers for later.

Fortunately he already had paint and his garden was still trying to grow produce so there was no need for picking and making paint today. He picked up his watering can sprinkling the water all over the sprouts and soil that was yet to be inhabited.

After that job done he went back inside, changing into his work clothes.Or day clothes since it was the only type of clothing he had.

He gathered all his painting supplies putting some of it into his bag and holding the rest in his arms.He then walked out of his natural habit and onto the road to the kings voluptuous and ginormous castle of a home.

He walked on the almost sparkling gray cobblestone while waving to the townsfolk he all knew.He waved to the post woman, the baker, the saleswoman who sells vegetables, and the salesman who sells fruits, the little kids who are always playing some sort of game outside, and the stray fern dogs walking and rolling in the grass.

It kind of was their kind after all.America finally arrived at the giant and also grey cobblestone castle. He walked to the castle gates asking for entry from the guards who were always standing right beside each door.

They opened the gates letting the small goblin in and into the throne room where the king sat.The king finally saw the tiny creature and happily exclaimed "Good morning America, I'm hoping you've gotten a good nights sleep".

America bowed trying not to let the bag on his back drop his art supplies onto his head.He stood up straight again then replied back to the king "Yes sir Spain your highness I did.I hope you did too I know how stressful your job can be sir,".

Spain chuckled with joy and said "That's great, and speaking of stressful,I've got to warn you and the townsfolk of something. But since you're here I might as well tell you now right?"

America nodded "Yes sir it would be convenient,".Spain laughed again and finally told America of the danger that so stressed him.He then sent America off to go finish a painting on the ceiling of a certain room.America couldn't believe it could he?Well he sure was darn nervous about it that was for sure. But painting now and danger later he supposed.

Hours later, America could finally go home and rest once again. He lowered himself with the pulley system keeping him close to the ceiling.Once he reached the ground he gathered his supplies putting it in his bag and leaving while giving the royal highness a goodbye.
