Chapter 1: Sweet Sixteen

When Carina woke up on her sixteenth birthday, she found herself doing magic that shouldn't exist in life. Wearing skin coloured gloves on her hands to stop the magic and the glowing of the tattoos on her arms, she dressed for school.

She spent the whole day making sure she would not do magic in the case she would be reported.

As lunch rolled around, Carina went to the library to see if she could find anything on magic, looking around the library she came across a glowing book, when she took it out and opened it, bright light shone in her face and she closed her eyes.

When she opened her eyes, she looked around to see that she was no longer in her school library. But instead, she found many girls walking about and talking as they used magic to trail books behind them.

Carina held onto the book and walked out of the library where she was met with a corridoor. Looking around, she walked to her right, seeing paintings on the walls of seven girls,

Underneath read the words: Bloom the fairy of the Dragon Flame for the red haired girl, Stella the fairy of the Shining Sun for the yellow haired girl, Musa the fairy of Music for the blue haired girl, Layla the fairy of Waves for the dark brown haired girl, Tecna the fairy of Technology for the pixie cut pink haired girl, Flora the fairy of Nature for the light brown haired girl and Roxy fairy of Animals for the long two toned haired girl.

They were all in a fairy transformation and Carina found interest in their wings that sprouted from their backs.

"Excuse me, who are you?" a womans voice asked and Carina turned to see a brown haired woman standing there, a hand on her hip.

"I'm sorry, I am a little confused, but where am I?" Carina asked wondering what was going on.

"You are standing in the hallways of Alfea, the college for fairies and I have never seen you around here, are you new?" she asked.

"I'm human I think and I have never heard of this place" Carina said as the woman then turned.

"I will need you to come with me, you are the third fairy who have come from Earth" the woman said as Carina followed her.

"Who were the first two?" Carina asked her.

"The first was Princess Bloom of Sparks and Princess Roxy of Tir nan og" the woman said.

"Wait, you said I was a fairy, how do you know and why do you think I am a fairy?" Carina asked.

"Yes, but we don't know what type of fairy, we need to test your powers, but you will need your birth necklace for us to determine your fairy powers" the woman said as she knocked on the door and opened it to reveal a white haired woman in a tight looking blue dress.

As she turned, she looked at Carina before introducing herself as Headmistress Faragonda.

"Welcome to Alfea, would you please tell me your name?" the woman asked.

"Carina Tompson" Carina said looking between the two women before the brown haired woman left the room.

"Welcome Carina" the woman said.

"Why am I here? Why do I have powers?" Carina asked.

"That is what we need to know, have you received your birth necklace?" the woman asked.

"No" Carina said as headmistress Faragonda tapped a finger on her chin before walking to her desk and sitting down.

"Something may be amiss, now in these days, fairies get their transformations from their birth necklace" she said.

"What does a birth necklace look like?" Carina asked as the headmistress waved her hand in the air and an image appeared that showed a silver chain and what dangled from it was a colour pendant charm.

"The pendant is usually the colour of the fairies powers and what they represent" the headmistress said as Carina remembered the painting on the walls when she walked out of the library.

"The wall outside the library, who were those girls?" Carina asked.

"Our brightest students, they went a long way with their fairy transformations" the headmistress said.

"They didn't have pendants, why?" Carina asked again.

"Because before now, fairies only had to speak their transformations to transform, those girls went through their Charmix, Enchantrix, Beliveix, Sirenix and more" the headmistress said with a smile.

"I will enroll you so you can decide whether you would like to learn more about yourself and discover who you are, or if you would like to leave, I will not stop you" the headmistress said as Carina nods her head.

"I think I will stay, learn more about myself" Carina said as the headmistress gave a room number to her for her to stay and a schedule of her classes.

Carina thanked her and left her office, using a map to find her way to her new room. She opened the door to see a common room, leading to eight rooms and inside the common room stood seven girls talking amongst themselves.

They turned to look at Carina before a pink haired girl walked over to her.

"You new?" she asked and Carina nodded her head.

"I'm Taleah, fairy of Technology" Taleah said with a smile and held her hand out.

"Carina, just a ordinary girl from Earth who just discovered her powers" Carina said and shook her hand.

"You don't have a birth necklace?" a light brown haired girl asked.

"Not yet I assume, I'm not even sure why I am here, but I started using magic a few hours ago" Carina said.

"Oh, well then I am Fey, fairy of Nature" Fey said and shook my hand.

"I'm Serena, fairy of the Shining Sun and Princess of Solaria" the yellow haired girl said with a smile.

"I'm Brianna, fairy of Fire and Princess of Sparks" the red haired girl said with a smile.

"I'm Meela, fairy of Music" the blue haired girl said with a smile on her face.

"I'm Rinnie, fairy of Animals and Princess of Tir nan Og on Earth" the two toned haired girl said, her hair pink with blonde ends.

"I'm Katherine, fairy of Waves and Princess of Andros" Katherine said with a smile like the other girls.
