While Lauren was learning and the vampire was teaching her, the two also caught up to everything, they were very close friends before, neighbors, and their families got along very much. The two grew up together, and even challenged their parents a little. Since they were noble women, they had to go through and arrange marriage, it was then when Lauren refused everyone of the noble man and met a younger woman who she fell in love with. Even if it was against the times, the raven woman didn't care and her and her lover would talk through the beautiful letters, Lauren would write songs while her lover would respond with magnificent stories. The writing allowed them to live in their own fantasy since they would barely see each other. Camila remembered actually catching the two almost kissing on the forest. The memory of the day did made her stop and stare at the wall. Y/n was in fact the exact same girl Lauren fell in love with back when she was still alive in 1842. Both Y/n and the girl had the exact same height and hair and eyes and personality. It was rather odd, especially after so many years, but nevertheless she was happy her best friend and a new chance with someone close to be her long last lover.
For hours the two talked and cooked. Sometimes the food wasn't that good, there was always time for improvement on Lauren's part. However, since dinner time was close to arriving, Camila adived Lauren to take a shower while she would finish everything up. The ghost didn't complain, since Y/n would constantly notice how cold her body was, so she went to warm up, while the vampire used her speed and made the kitchen seem as beautiful as a fancy restaurant. After, before Y/n would arrive, the two hugged each other and Camila went to the door.
"I will talk to Ally and find another way. We'll talk more tomorrow." She smiled at the green eyed woman and left the apartment, leaving Lauren alone in the house.
The ghost smiled, in both excitement and nervousness. She chose to not think of how she miserably failed her task of becoming somehow close to being alive. The woman chose to think of Y/n and got herself ready. Maybe everything was a bit too much, especially when Y/n had just gone to another date. Nevertheless, Lauren waited in front of the door, patiently, checking the time every minute. In just a few more minutes, Y/n opened the door of an apartment and entered. She simply took her shoes off before she looked up and faced Lauren with a raised eyebrow.
Lauren smiled. "Hi." She greeted nervous. "How are you, how was your evening?"
"It was fine." She walked closer with a smile.
"Did he hurt you?" She got slightly serious. "Are you alright?"
Y/n chuckled lightly and caressed the raven hair before pecking her lips. "I could only think of you."
Lauren relaxed and smiled big. "For real...?"
"Yes." She gave her a charming smile.
"Then I have a surprise for you." She gently caressed her cheek.
"Did you miss me while I was away?" She leaned against the touch.
"I couldn't stop thinking of you." She was honest and carefully pulled her closer.
Y/n got in the tip of her feet getting closer to the woman and rubbed their noses together. "I guess I wasn't the only one."
"You weren't." She whispered and leaned in slightly. "Is it right for me to kiss you now?" She asked all politely.
The shorter chuckled, opening her mouth slightly, with her gaze fixed on the green eyes. "Is it alright for me to kiss back?"
"Yes." She replied shortly before closing her eyes and kissing her with lots of emotions involved.
Y/n closed her eyes and kissed her back pushing her closer if possible. Slowly, and timidly because of her wound, Lauren joined her body to the younger's, not ever breaking the kiss. The younger sighed against the kiss and her fingers slowly passed under the older's shirt so it would touch her skin.
