"Have a seat Tsunade," the Hokage said as he placed his pipe down and stared at his student with a sympathetic look on his face.Seeing the look on her sensei's face told Tsunade everything she needed to know. It was a look she had seen to many time."Minato and Kushina sacrificed themselves to seal the Nine-tails away," the Hokage said "I'm sorry , Tsunade, " He added as he reached over to comfort her.
"First it was Grandfather, then Granduncle, then Dan and Nawaki, and now my Sochi and my daughter-in-law," Tsunade said "Maybe I am cursed," She added as tears streamed out of her eyes .
"Come on now Tsuna," Jiraiya said still trying to comfort Naruto."I can't comfort you and the baby at the same time" He said getting Tsunade's attention.
"Baby ?" Tsunade said in a confused voice as she turned to the toad sage. Upon seeing a head full of blond hair and three whisker marks on each cheek, she sprang to her feet and shouted "NARUTO!" as she took the baby from Jiraiya and began rocking him in her arms "What did you do to my grandson you old pervert!?" she said angrily causing Jiraiya to cower in fear . "Shhhh, there , there, grandma's here," Tsunade said while rocking Naruto in her arms. To the surprise of the two men in the room, the baby slowly stopped crying until he was perfectly quiet in his grandmother's arms staring up at her."
"How did you do that ?" Jiraiya asked as he looked down at the baby "He was screaming while he was with me ".
"It must have been your face " Tsunade added while with a chuckle causing the girl and Hokage to start chuckling as well . Hearing several people chuckling around him little Naruto gave a cute giggle of his own as he looked in at his grandmother. Hearing everybody laughing at his expense even his own baby godson Jiraiya went to sulk in the corner of the room as Tsunade sat on the chair in front of the desk as she continued to stare lovingly at the baby .
"He looks like big brother Minato" the little girl said causing everyone except for Jiraiya and the baby to nod in agreement while the two individuals who were not nodding were sulking and cooing respectively .
"You're right Shizune," Tsunade said as she turned to look at her cooing grandson
"Tsunade I have something to tell you, the Nine tails has been sealed insi-""I know sensei it's in Naruto ." Tsunade interrupted "How do you know ?" The Hokage asked "My son was never the person to sacrifice somebody else's own child." She said as she fought back tears .
"We'll have to leave sensei " Tsunade stated "Wh-why Tsuna ?" Jiraiya asked speaking for the first time after being roasted "Because I won't let Danzo and the other slimeballs on the council touch my Mago. " Tsunade replied .
"Alright then you three go on then " Sarutobi said "Thanks Sensei we'll be back for the Genin exams " Tsunade said
And so the trio consisting of a kid a gambler and a baby went from Konaha not to return until 12 years passed .
