CHAPTER ONE.CATHERINE.

FLASHBACK.....

"Babe, take our kids out of this house now." Our father told our mom to take us away from our original home because the police force and the World Agent Unit (WAU) were on their way to collect us. "Promise me you will dedicate your entire life to protecting our kids and being their provider."

The time was seven o'clock and it was cold. Everyone was inside their houses, doing their own things. While they kissed each other

, our mom replied, "Okay," and she made a vow to our dad. I promise.

Our dad knelt down before us and opened his arms, letting us hug him. We went and hugged him tightly. We were in tears. We stopped hugging and we looked at our dad. We could see tears coming out of his eyes.

He was good looking with his beard.The man was young,strong, brave and gentle. No wonder  why women were all over him, wanting him to be their man,his muscles was among the things which attracted women,he would tell then he had a wife and kids. Men wanted to be like him because he was successful,and muscle. Our father was known for being brave, loving, and caring. He was also helpful.

"My little girl Catherine, take care of your mother and sisters. They need you." Be a good person and a role model—not a bad role model, but a good role model. Be a good example. " Our dad said those powerful words while WAU and the police force were coming. We could hear footsteps coming closer. His words were like a goodbye message. It was heartbreaking and overwhelming. The events would stick in our minds forever. "Kids, take care of your mother. She needs you the most." I love you kids. "

"We love you, daddy." We said it together in unison after hugging him.

"Now go!" Our dad said, in tears.

Then we saw the door of our house flying towards the stairs. It was funny, but the event was overwhelming. Our parents thought we would stay here in our original hometown in peace forever. They were wrong, very  wrong. 

END OF FLASHBACK...

I woke up from my nightmare crying in the middle of my room,my head aching, my vision blurred. My room was messy, the bed sheets were messed up on the floor,my laptop was lying near my desk. I sighed, wiping off the tears and started cleaning up my room.

I got dressed into some black jeans and a plain white shirt with white sneakers. Once my room looked decent and orderly,I sat beside my window and looked outside. Everything outside was pitch black except for some lights at the streetlights, there were people walking around. There was a faint light shining under one of the windows of our house and then I heard my sisters and mom Kara talking.

"Cathy,princess?"Kara our mom called me from sitingroom I was in my room,enjoying myself.

"I'm coming."I said in loud voice puting down my book which I was reading,my aunt Laura had baught for me she knew I loved reading and I was good in English.

I walked out of my room,closed the door of my room and walked down the stairs heading towards my sisters and mom were.I sat down next to my sister Phoebe who was busy eating her food.

"Hey,Cathy."She greeted me and I greeted her back.

"Hey."I replied and then turned to look at at my mom Kara who was busy reading her novel,she stopped reading her novel and looked at me after lifting her head up.

"Are you okay?"She asked softly.

"Yeah...I'm okay...."I lied to her.

"Are you sure?"She raised an eyebrow.

"Yup."I nodded and took another bite of my food and tried to avoid eye contact with anyone,especially Jess I don't know why.

"So..."Kara trailed off.

I raised my eyebrow looking at her waiting my mom to speak,the flashback about the day our dad said goodbye to us it was sad,it made me  sad Iam a serious person everyone will confirm that I'm a serious person but this,this was......

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing."I answered curtly.

"Don't lie to me,Cathy...."My mom Kara warned me quietly.

"Okay fine--"Before I could say anything my mom interrupted me,she looked at me then she  picked up the spoon started eating.

"Shush,don't say anything. Just eat your food."Kara our mom ordered me,her voice stern.

I spend my time eating my food in silence,in our home you are not allowed to talk while eating.When I finished my dinner I excused myself. my mom(Kara)  gave me an 'are you sure you don't want more food?'Mom asked.

I nodded while standing,looking at the table where my things were,without wasting time I grabbed my keys and wallet that were laying on the table  beside me.

"Oh,here is the shoping list which I want you to go and buy."Mom said as she handed me the paper which she wrote on."Tommorow you need to go and do shopping okay?"

I knoded my head "yes."And left dining table without saying another word heading towards our room

I closed our bedroom door behind me and turned around heading towards my bed while reading the shopping list which she wanted me to go and buy for her,after reading the list I lifted my head and I saw my sister Jess who had headphones on listening to music on her phone.

Her feet were tapping."Oh,hey Jess."I smiled and patted her on her shoulder.

Jess pulled her headphone from her ears and smiled. "Hey,Cathy."

"Can I borrow your headphones?"

"Sure,no problem."She handed them to me.

"Thanks sis."I said..

"No problem Catherine."She smiled.

"Where are you going?"She asked.

"To the store to pick up something for mom."I answered."I will go tommorow in the morning."

"You want me to accompany you?"Jess offered.

"That would be nice."I accepted as she  looked at me.

When morning came,the sun had risen we woke up early than everyone else,Jessica had finished preparing herself after spending her time in bathroom,we ensured our room was in good shape.Everything in our beautiful room were in their respectful place.We went down and prepared our breakfast,took them and we finished preparing ourselves we decided go leave home and go to do shopping,buying what our mom wants.
I kept my phone back into my pocket and we began our walk. I kept looking at Jess while smiling every now and then and laughing I raised my eyebrow wondering why she was laughing.

"Jessica,we need to hurry up."I  said to my sister.

"Ok! Ok!!"She shouted.

She dragged me inside,into the store.We arrived inside the store and went to do the shopping for our mom.
