"Hi my name is Y/N and I'm here for the Pots internship." I said to the lady at the front desk. I was in my new blazer and skirt set that I was going to return right after this and get my money back.
Pepper Pots is the the CEO of Stark Industries and the wife of Tony Stark himself. I heard there was an internship to basically help Pepper with anything she needed to basically be her assistant. I decided to get this internship so I can gain some job experience so I can have my own company some day.
"Y/N Y/L/N." I heard my name and quickly got up. A man with a beard and in a suit who's name was Happy escorted me to Pots' office. I was fidgeting with my bracelet and trying to hold in today's breakfast. The security guard, Happy, who didn't seem so happy, opened the door for me. I walked into the huge office with big beautiful windows that you can see the whole city from.
"Hello my name is Y/N Y/L/N." I held my hand out to the beautiful woman with blonde hair and blue small eyes.
"Hello Y/N my name is Virginia, you can call me Pepper or Pots or Pepper Pots." She welcomed me with a smile. That made a bit less nervous.
She continued asking me questions. Why are you interested in this internship? Why should we hire you for this internship?Do you work better under pressure or with a plan? Tell me a bit about yourself. What skills or experiences do you hope to gain in this internship? These are the types of questions she asked me.
"Ok Y/N I think that's all I need. Thank you for coming. We'll call you." She said. I wasn't so convinced I got the job. Oh well.
I left the building disappointed. I quickly got a cab and went back to my apartment. I got there and me and my roommate ordered some pizza.
It was a Thursday and Pepper was going to decide who her new assistant that day and call them. Me and my roommate who was also my best friend were waiting for the phone call. I was so nervous. If I didn't get the job that'll suck, but if I did then it'll be official and...that was terrifying.
Ring Ring Ring
The lady from the front office was calling me. I hesitantly picked it up. My heart was racing and my hands were sweating.
"Hello?"
"Hello Ms.Y/L/N this is Stark Industries and Ms.Pots wants to let you know that you were accepted for the internship and you will be starting tomorrow. You will receive an Email with all the information you need. Congratulations."
"Thank you so much. Good bye." I said trying to hold in my exhilaration. I looked over to Amelia my best friend and best friend who she was jumping up and down from excitement.
"You got it! I knew you would." She said. The neighbors downstairs hit the celling with a broom and yelled keep it down and we just laughed.
It was 10:30 and I had to go in at 7:30 so I went to sleep, Amelia stayed awake watching Community, meanwhile I got ready for bed. I got into my very comfortable bed and reach into the drawer to get my medication and there wasn't any left. I started to freak out. I need that medication to control my powers. I have fire powers and that medication controls my anger and anxiety which controls my powers. What am I going to do?
I put on a coat and got out through my window. I was on third floor and there were some mattresses so I didn't fall on the ground. I went to the 7-11 that was right across the street and I grabbed some ice for the meantime. I walked for 10 minutes until I arrive to the pharmacy. I picked up few of bottles and got out of there.
I went back to my apartment and took my medication. I went to sleep. Tomorrow was a big day.
My alarm went off at 6:00. I got up from my bed and went to the bathroom I brushed my short brown hair and wet my morning bangs. I put on some black jeans and a white tea shirt and some black shoes like the email told me to. I grabbed my bag, coat and walked out the door at 6:30 I went to a cafe and bought some coffee. I walked to the tower which was 20 minutes away. I finally got there at 7:20.
Happy took me to Peppers office. While we were walking there I decided to make a conversation.
"Is your name actually Happy?"
"Yes."
"Last name?"
"Hogan."
"Happy Hogan?"
"Yes."
"Cool."
"Not really."
"Ok."
"Ok."
He opened the door for me and I walked in to see pepper doing some paperwork.
"Happy really loves to talk doesn't he." I joked around.
She laughed and looked up. "Oh yes it's really hard to make him shut up." She sarcastically.
"Well hello." I heard an oddly familiar voice from the corner and it startled me.
It was freaking Tony Stark.
"Mr. Iron- I mean Mr.Stark. Umm nice to meet you." I tried to come up with something to say. He chuckled.
"You can call me Tony or Stark no formalities please. So your Y/N? I read your resume really impressive." He complimented me.
"Thank you so much."
"And that's why I picked you." Pepper joined the conversation. "Your first job is to go with Tony and pick up some papers. Remember Y/N these are very important documents so please be careful and I need them in two hours. Please." She said kindly.
"Of course. I'll be very careful."
"Let's go kid."
We walked to the garage to Tony's very expensive and cool car. We got in and he started driving fast.
We arrived to the avengers compound.
We got to the driveway and he turned around to look at me. "Alright kid there are a lot of people in there that can do very weird and impressive and dangerous things. Some are even assassins. So I don't want you to be intimidated or nothing. Okay?" He gave me a reassuring smile and I nodded and we both got out of the car.
The doors to the compound opened automatically and we entered the building.
I was actually going to meet the avengers.
