She grew up in Toyko but moved to Karasuno when she was 9

Personality:

She's pretty shy but definitely lets her walls down around the team. It takes a while for her to warm up to and really trust somebody. She's usually very quiet and reserved but when she's around the people that she trusts, she's a big smiley goofball who's constantly laughing and cracking jokes. She it is also incredibly easy to make her get flustered.

Background:

Masako had a fairly normal upbringing. She was raised by her dad and her grandparents. She never really knew her mom since her mom died during childbirth, but she knows a lot about her from stories about her mom that she's heard from her dad and grandparents. She was about 12 years old when she realized she was different from the other boys she grew up around. She didn't know what transgender meant so she couldn't put how she felt into words for a long time. When she finally stumbled upon the term, she realized that's exactly what she was experiencing. She made the mistake of telling some of her close friends, not knowing they were transphobic. She hasn't came out to anybody except her dad and grandparents since that happened. She joined the boy's volleyball team when she started at Karasuno. It took her some time to get comfortable being herself around the team but she still doesn't trust them all enough to tell them that she's a girl.
