Egg

Waves were lapping at the sand, a gentle breeze blowing on the beach. The three moons were all full and shining down below, hungrily waiting for the arrival of someone important.
A black dragon stepped out onto the sand, leaving the shelter of the forest in which he came from behind. Holding a egg in a pouch that was tied to his neck, he carefully unwrapped it and placed the egg gently on the still warm sand. He circled around the egg looking up and left an right as if he was waiting for someone important. Just then he heard something splash from the ocean and turn to look. There came a light blue dragon head, bobbing to and fro by the waves. She slowly left the salty water to join the black dragon on the sand looking down at the egg. The light blue dragon smiled down at the egg and  hugged the black dragon.

"Oh Sky Swallower~ Its been far to long since I've seen you and our precious egg." Said the light blue dragon. The dragon called Sky Swallower chuckled and touched his snoot to the dragons head.

"I know my dear Pink Belly. I've left my tribe to take care of our egg and to be closer to you, and I dont regret it for a moment, the egg is you and me combined, my love." Sky Swallower said to her. He had his wing over her as they looked down proudly at their egg. They both were so distracted in being in love for their egg they didn't hear another Dragon approach.

"Pink Belly! So this is were you swam off to. To be with a Nightwing!!" Boomed a loud commanding voice. Both of the dragons jumped and turned around in panic.

"M-Mother! Queen! I didn't hear you come over-" Pink Belly bowed her head, looking down at the sand. Sky Swallower followed her actions.

"It is so lovely to meet you Queen Urchin. And on such a beautiful night as well. When your scales shine off the most." Sky Swallower said trying to please to SeaWing Queen. Sky Swallower was pushed over by a hard head blow of the Queens talons. He rolled in the sand and he heard Pink Belly screech and dash over to him. Leaving there egg unprotected.

"Mother! How could you be so cruel, at such a kind dragon with kind words!" Pink Belly said helping Sky Swallower up.

"More like, how could you have a egg with a Night wing! You are a princess. This is a waste of Royal blood." Queen Urchin said having the egg in one talon. Both the dragons gasped in horror, afraid for there unhatched dragonet.

"Mother please! Do not harm our egg! Our dragonet! Your Grandchild‐" Pink Belly stepped closer to the queen, but stopped when Queen Urchin raised her talon up higher, putting the egg in more danger of being cracked and killed.

"This would be no grandchild of mine!" Snapped the Queen.
"This is a half bread. There would be no room for hybrid in the castle." Queen said, glaring at the egg. Sky Swallower crawled over slowly keeping himself close to ground.

"Please, do not hurt our dragonet. If anyone punish me. It is my fault it is here in the first place." He said his nose low to sand.
"It is nowhere near your fault my beloved Sky Swallower. It is noone fault." Pink Belly said raising the nightwings head up and then looking at the Queen.
"We have fallen in love Mother. You cant stop two dragons from being in love." She said with a challenge in eyes at the Queen.
"Please Mother- put our egg down. Find it in your heart to understand." Pink belly said in a plead.

Queen Urchin hissed and grasped the egg in both talons. Her anger at both the dragon so high she didn't feel the egg shake and crack a bit.
"You have no right to make commands till you kill me and take your right full place as queen with a good sea wing husband!" Urchin said her tail flickering a few lights of her bioluminescent stripes glowing. Both the dragons shrunk back.
"And you, Nightwing. Do you always bow and act respectful to every queen, or are you just doing some kind of Nightwing act to try and please me in front of my daughter." The queen said drawing herself up taller with a hiss, the egg cracking more.
Sky Swallower look Queen Urchin in the eyes.

"I respect all of the tribes Queens. It means me and our eggs safety." He said with a respectful bow once more, before standing his full height. Pink Belly stood next to him.
They all stood there in silence, the waves lapping hungrily at the sand, and breeze making the trees leafs sway softly. That when they all heard a big loud crack and then a explosion of pieces of egg shell flew off.
Queen Urchin let out a started yowl but kepted her talons together as she held a tiny dark purple, green, and black dragonet. With many different shades of color of its wings and a pitch black tail with dark green belly under lining and light blue bioluminescent stripes. The dragonet had everything to show that it was a mix of nightwing and seawing, even a little tear looking drop next to both if its eyes.
Pink Belly and Sky Swallower both flexed there muscles, wanting to leap and hold there new born dragonet.
The Queen looked down at the dragonet in awe. The Dragonet let out a tiny squeak and opened its eyes. It saw Pink belly and instantly reach out to her, as if it knew she was the mother.

"Three Moons.... Strong Future seeing and Mindreading." Sky Swallower mumbled looking at the sky. Queen Urchin used one of her claws to make it face her.

"Your daughter..." The queen looked into the dragonets bright yellow eyes. Pink belly gasp.

"Sky Swallower! You hear that. It's a she! M-mother... please..." Pink Belly took a slow step forward and reached out her talons, wanting her daughter.
Queen Urchin seemed to hesitate, but gave the dragonet to its mother. It squeaked joyfully once Pink belly had her in her grasp.
Sky Swallower smiled down at the dragonet.

"Look at you~ Your so beautiful." He stuck out on claw and she grabbed it in both her tiny talons. Letting out a tiny almost silent squeak. Queen Urchin watched this before clearing her throat.

"As your Queen and Mother, Princess Pink Belly I'll allow this dragonet to live. Just till six years old, I want to wait till it is six before testing it to see if it is a Animus. That mean you two have 6 years to let it have a good happy life before us seawings kill this foul beast.
It would be far to powerful if she has that dark magic." Urchin said before stepping back towards the water. She let out a small growl.

"I'll see you, you little mistake in 6 years and hopefully no less." And with that the Queen disappeared into the sea. To return home. Pink belly watched her mother go before turning back to her dragonet.

"Dont worry my little silent talker, I'll never let anyone hurt you." That's when Pink belly got a idea.
"Sky Swallower! What do you think of the name Silent Wave?" She asked hoping for a good answer. Sky Swallower smiled at her lovingly.

"Its Perfect my love~" He wrapped his wings around Pink belly and they both looked lovely at there new daughter.
