The spider gave a small nod, crawling a little closer to Vriska to maintain a grip.Vriska gave a little giggle," Walking a little too fast for ya ? Well hold on tight !" Vriska sped up,breaking into a jolt as she ran through the wet meadow. The spider had gripped hardly onto her gown, swinging up and down and nearly flying up in the air. Vriska couldn't help but laugh more and more at her little friend. She then plopped herself down into the dry ground underneath a willow tree.
She gently grabbed hold of her eight-legged friend and with a gentle finger, slowly started stroking the spider. "Hehe, my bad.."she apologized. The spider gave a small nod and laid down in her soft hand.
Vriska looked up at the night sky, the moon still high and uncovered from the former rain clouds. It had been around 2 or 3 years since she had left her old home. The trolls started to adapt to the human customs quickly, with the help of Rose,Dave,John,and Jade. But the other humans themselves didn't accept them. They were often mistreated and insulted by their looks, even if they were disguised. Vriska sighed, missing her former home in Alternia. She usually dreamt of going home, adventuring through the bright and tropical landscape once more. A tear had slipped down her cheek. She hated it here.
The spider, saddened by her friends sense of worry and sorrow, jumped onto Vriska's cheek and wiping the tear away.Vriska gave a smile at her little friend,"T-thanks..hey..would you mind if I gave you a name..?",asked the eye-patched troll. The little spider nodded cheerfully , seeing his friend starting to lighten up.
But before Vriska could speak once more, a rustle in a nearby bich could be heard. Vriska quickly put her friend in her pocket, standing up and taking out a light blue sword from her side in a blink of an eye.
She slowly crept forward to the bush,grasping the sword tightly. Before Vriska could make another move,someone fell through the bush. A tall but skinny boy with black hair plopped onto the ground, one of his lens cracked by the fall. Vriska recognized the boy in an instant.
"J-John..?!"
