-Jevil's POV-
It'll be a little hard for me to remember, but I shall try, young one.
Let's see...my past...
So, believe it or not, I wasn't always this insane. I grew up under the king's rules. He was never kind, and obviously remained heartless and cold. Some even thought that he was so cruel and oppressive that he might even be...soulless...
But twas only a rumor spread by the children. I lived in the less fortunate area of the kingdom. None of us in that small village had enough food, water, nothing. But what we did have, was our entertainment. Since our village was so small, we got to know each other fairly well. I was one of the children who had no parents. It was lonely, so meeting the other children and becoming friends definitely helped me feel less lonely. But one stood out.
Seam. He was about three years older than me. He was the oldest out of all of the children there. We had crossed paths when I had seen him leave the village and move out to the Field. Since I had nothing else better to do that day, I had decided to follow Seam.
Seam had walked into this little tent made of up of scrapes of fabric. He had closed the entrance and I approached the small tent. I tapped the entrance gently and a soft, deep voice responded:
"Come in."I opened up the entrance and saw an array of items displayed on small, poorly crafted cardboard shelves. There was star candy, my favorite treat, and even dark burgers. For a young, poor villager to see an item like a dark burger, it made my mouth water. He even had weapons. Well, they weren't so much as "weapons" as they were just tin foil balls with shards of glass or sharpened metal spikes and tin foil swords.
"Welcome, traveller. What can I interest you?"
Seam then realized who I was and cocked his head to the side a bit. "Jebediah?"
Yes, my old name was Jebediah. Obviously more normal than the one I have now.
"What brings you here?" Seam asked, resting his hands on his cardboard box.
Well, I couldn't say that I followed him because I was bored. He would think I would have some sort of sinister motive behind that. So, I had replied with:
"I heard from someone that you sold dark candies..Didn't know you sold dark burgers too.."
Seam hummed in response. "Y'sure you weren't just bored and followed me here?" He chuckled.
Well it was no point in lying in the first place if he had already known what I did. My cheeks flushed with embarrassment, I looked down, clenching my fists.
"Well, if ya want some dark candy, I got some. It'll be 40 DD, though."
I scrambled my hands through my pockets only to find nothing. I sighed. "I-I'm sorry, I have nothing.." I said ashamed.
"Well, then scram. I got some customers with their own money, and I wouldn't wanna keep 'em waitin'."
I looked up at Seam then out of the tent. "But, I see none."
"I was talkin' about future customers. Now sram," Seam hissed.
I scoffed. "Selling what? Other than the dark candies and burgers, doesn't look like much."
I could be a little snarky at moments when I felt a little offended. Seam crossed his arms.
"I said scram."
"And I won't leave until I get that dark candy." I was really a pain when I acted like this. I was a brat, which is what someone people would call me if I didn't get my way. I placed my hands on my hips and Seam glared at me while I smirked. "How's about, we make a deal?"
