Aether was on the Mondstadt wanted list. And he didn't even get the lyre to make it all worth it. Some purple lady with magic poison flies teleported in and took it before he had the chance. Aether was hiding out in Angel's Share Tavern cursing himself for teaming up with the bard, the same one who was cheerfully looking at the wine menu. Why is he so happy at a time like this?! Does he know something I don't?

The tavern owner was sending away the guards searching Mondstadt for the thief while this is happening, and as soon as they leave, he stormed up to the trio and demanded answers.

"Let me finish my finish my drink firsttt~" Venti whined, "I'll pay you! Well- with a performance!"

"This is not about the money. Plus, you seem a bit too young to be drinking" the man said nonchalantly.

"Oh no need to worry! When I started drinking, you were still-"

"Woaaaahhh ok! Instead of talking about this, how about you answer my question first. Who are you?" Aether stepped in quickly to stop Venti from revealing himself to someone who might actually believe him. He turned around to glare at Venti only to find him smirking right back. Was he expecting me to do that? What is going on?? I knew we shouldn't have picked this guy off of the streets.

Venti quickly got everyone up to date on both names and the situation at hand. The tavern owner's name is Master Diluc, and he was still skeptical of what is going on. Venti put on a little "performance" for Diluc with his lyre, showing him the entirety of the problem. This completely changed Diluc's perspective and he was ready to help.

Diluc took Aether and Paimon to the Fatui hideout to find the Holy Lyre, leaving Venti at the tavern to avoid suspicion. On the way there Aether got a couple more requests and commissions from Springvale residents and promised to help everyone. His schedule was piling up and Paimon couldn't help but notice that.

They arrived at the entrance to the Fatui hideout and Aether realizes he'd never faced these people before.

Lord Barba- Oh who am I kidding I'd have better luck praying to the unknown god. Oh Sustainer of Heavenly Principles please ensure I don't die.
