Twin

I've been feeling a lot of self loathing and dysphoria lately so here have a poem about it.

Last year I met a boy.
He was a lot like me;
Our looks, our friends, our laughs,
It wasn't hard to see.
We talked about our interests,
Debated to and fro.
We spoke most every morn,
Just like a sis and bro.
The boy has taken to hiding
Friends call me by his name
For him and I together
Have always been the same
And as we grew I smiled
I no longer felt alone
For the little boy I met
Had been me all along.
