The next week James was at Betty's again. For some reason, this time they barely focused on schoolwork. It wasn't too much of a concern since there weren't any upcoming tests. It had started when James was trying to explain a math concept to Betty, which had ended in Betty's frustration and James' amusement.

The two instead settled for snacks and Netflix. They were watching twilight.

"I have no idea how you roped me into this," James sighed.

"Are you kidding, every teenage girl has seen it."

"The storyline is terrible, the only reason teen girls watched it was because of the love triangle. Which would have totally turned out better if say Bella ended up with Alice."

"Are you suggesting that Bella is gay?"

"Probably bi at the least, how else can you explain her never ending wardrobe of flannels?"

Betty laughed. "That would be quite the twist wouldn't it?"

"Of course."

"Do you think Twilight would still be as popular?"

James shrugged. "What queer American girl didn't have Kristen Stewart as their gay awakening?"

"You totally watched Twilight then," Betty accused.

"I did not. I wouldn't survive 5 movies of constant cheesy romance lines from two different boys on screen. That's overkill to me. But Kristen Stewart is one of my icons."

James tossed a piece of popcorn into the air and caught it in her mouth.

"Was it hard, figuring it out?" Betty cautiously asked.

James looked at her. She didn't expect that question to come up. "When the thought first occurred, it was a struggle and very confusing. There was a time when your friends thought I was so lucky to be friends with Cole. I never understood what they meant till later. Then seeing people like Kristen Stewart being out, helped me see that being a girl who likes girls is a possibility. It just came to the question of if it was what I really wanted and if I was willing to fight for it."

"How'd you answer that?"

"Well... I realized it'd be worth it in the end. Thinking about it, being out about it, is a feeling that I can't describe. But it's a good one that makes you want to fight so you can have that feeling forever."

Betty was quiet, she took in the information. She looked thoughtful.

"Ooo, let's play a game," James said.

"What game?"

"Everytime one of them says a cheesy line you try to toss a piece of popcorn in my mouth. If I miss, Jacob or Edward gets a point and if I catch it then we get a point."

Betty just laughed at the idea. "Okay."

James went off the bed to stand so it'd be easier to catch the popcorn, but as she did so, she slipped on something and before she knew it she was on the floor.

"James!" Betty said worried, and leaned over to see if she was okay,

"M'good," James mumbled as she sat up. Betty laughed. "Hey, don't make fun of me."

"How can I not?"

James grumbled. She then saw what she slipped on, it was a white cardigan that was on the floor mostly under Betty's bed. She picked it up.

"What's this?"

"Oh, that's my old cardigan." Betty paused. "Jase gave it to me. I constantly wore it after the accident. It's worn now. Missing buttons, few stains, and has holes in some places."
