Within the performance stage room, 23 male trainees sat, all looking around anxiously, not knowing what to expect next. Youngbin, Heesung and Jae-ho all noticed the numbers around them.

Soon all the other contestants started noticing too and began questioning one another.

"Are we waiting for one more person?"

"Who do you think it is?"

"Do you think he'll be handsome?"

In the monitor room where Bang PD-nim, Rain and Zico sat, both Rain and Zico turned to Bang PD in confusion.

"Isn't there only suppose to be 23 contestants PD-nim?" Zico asked, to which Bang PD smile

"Originally yes, but due to a situation, we decided to add one contestant, for a shock-effect myself and the organisers of I-LAND decided to keep this detail a close secret. But neither of you will be disappointed. This contestant is well known in the industry." This caused Both Rain and Zico to raise their brows, both anticipating who this 'secret' is.

Back in I-LAND, everyone waits impatiently for the last contestant, every single person nervously stared at the entrance, then suddenly the signal alarm goes off and lights in the room turn red and begin flashing causing everyone to jump and some to yell in shock. Over the speakers footsteps echo, everyone leans forward as they see a silhouette walking towards them. No one could see the person's face because of the lights until they were merely strides away from the platform. The contestants all let out shocked gasps, screams and yells as they finally see who it is.

Raina Park of BigHit, The longest and oldest female trainee and one of the most influential trainee's in the industry.

Everyone besides Bang PD stares at Raina in shock, confusion and awe.

Rain and Zico let out shocked laughs and turned to Bang PD.

"Now this is what you call a plot twist!" Rain exclaimed, pleasantly surprised. Zico nodded, agreeing with his fellow Idol.

"May I ask why?" Zico question, to which Bang-PD smiled at.

"I and the other heads of this contest thought that to set ourselves apart from every other survival show, we'd have to do something no one or little has done before. We all agreed on turning I-LAND into a co-ed survival show. Therefore, debuting a co-ed group. But due to how late we made this decision, a lot of the capable female trainees we choose were already debuting. So we all agreed that Raina Park would be the perfect candidate, considering her talent and reputation." Bang PD explained, which both Rain and Zico understood.

"Yes, Raina Park was a perfect choice. I can't wait to see how the boys handle being around her. I have high expectations for her." Zico said, knowing that the young woman had a stellar reputation with the trainees throughout the industry. And having have seen her talents firsthand he was excited, to say the least.

Raina expected nothing less when it came to how the 23 male trainees would react to her entrance. She physically had to stop herself from cackling at their reactions and opted to put on a small smile and keep her head high. She was dressed in a simple pair of black fitted sweatpants, black doc martins and a slightly cropped dark purple sweater as she carried her bag on her shoulder. She noticed the looks of utter shock on Heesung, Jay and Sunghoon faces and sent them a subtle wink as she stepped onto the platform. Daniel, who was sitting between EJ and K couldn't stop gushing over Raina.

"It's Raina Park! omg, she's so pretty, EJ Hyung! what is she doing here!?" Daniel shook EJ's shoulder, who was frozen in place. K, like everyone else, couldn't help but stare at the young woman. During his training, he had heard about Bighit's talented female trainee and he couldn't deny that she was the prettiest woman he has ever seen. As Raina stepped onto the main platform, she smiled and bowed to everyone.

"Hello everyone!" She said happily in English, her kiwi accent showing through. Everyone scrambled to bow back and greet her, finally getting over their initial shock. Raina decided to sit in between Jay and Heesung who immediately with Sunghoon, bombarded her with questions.

"What are you doing here?" Heesung finally asked after Jay and Sunghoon stopped questioning her. Raina looked at him and dramatically gasped, grasping her chest.

"Well, that's no way to greet a friend. And for your information, I'm sitting. What else would I be going Heesung?" Sarcasm dripped from her words and Jay couldn't help but laugh causing her to turn to him and grin at him and Sunghoon who returned it. Raina could still feel everyone glancing at her which she couldn't blame them, she would've been shocked too. 

"Regardless, it's good to see you." Raina was about to respond when the lights once again began to flicker and an announcement come on.

" Dear 24 applicants welcome. This is the stage of I-LAND and this will be the place for you to prove your skills. Past the gate, you will see an unknown place called I-LAND that only existed in our imaginations. "

As the announcer spoke a door opened to reveal an egg-shaped 'gate' this caused everyone to be in awe, Raina gasped.

"Woah, now that's what you call an entrance." She said, which caused those sitting close to her to laugh.

"However, not all 24 of you may enter. The capacity of I-LAND is only 13 people. The power to decide those 13 people is up to you and every destiny in I-LAND is in your hands as well. Now we're going to start the entry test, with the performances you've prepared."

"Right now?" Heesung said in disbelief as everyone gives a similar reaction. Raina shakes her head and lets out a breath.

"No pressure or anything." She sarcastically muttered to herself. If Raina was being honest, she was expecting something like this. Survival shows are called 'survival' for a reason, but that didn't stop the wave of nerves that she felt.

"The entry test will be assessed by yourselves. Only those with a majority of votes can go into the I-LAND. If there are more or less than 13 people after the test, there will be another test. It's a unit performance, but the votes will be done for each individual. The order of performances is up to you."

And with that, the announcement ended, Raina looked around at everyone, all of them has similar reactions, shock, fear, awe. Raina gazed at the number displayed in front of them

She was going to prove her place as one of those 13. She knew some of the contestants were judging her, not only because she's a woman. But because they saw her as a threat. And they weren't wrong either.
