"CHILDREN! it's time for dinner!" mother isabella yelled, watching as the children piled up near the door, hungry for their next meal.
slowly the kids filled the cafeteria, sitting in their desired seats. everyone had already entered and sat down, expect for our dear saiko. while slowly entering the room, most of the kids were in their own little worlds.
entering the room with light footsteps, 3 high scorers looked at saikos way. one with a deadly glare, one with curiosity, and one with pity. catching eyes with all of them, saikos heartbeat spiked in fear, before turning away and sitting at the far end of a table, alone.
mother isabella approached saiko with a sickening smile, while holding a glass of water and 2 red pills. isabella set the pills and glass down, walking away before she heard the small 'thank you' from saiko.
saiko looked at the pills and back at the glass, and took the pills into their hand, slightly moving her fingers to see the pills move side to side. almost hesitant, saiko put both pills in her mouth, almost gagging at the cold, bland iron taste. saiko quickly grabbed the glass of water and downed it down whole.
putting down the empty glass, saiko looked back at the filed plate of food. the perfect balance of what the human body needs. saiko picked up the fork and twirled it slightly, stalling themself of eating.
with a deep sigh, saiko picked up a fork of various foods and stuffed it in their mouth, chewing slowly. saiko had to admit, it was good. but it made saiko sick to her stomach when she would think what's it's made from. the thought made saiko immediately put a fist up to her mouth before swallowing the food whole.
saiko quickly stuck the rest of her food into their mouth with tightly closed eyes, trying to ignore the thoughts. saiko grabbed her utensils and plate and stood up, walking to put her dishes away.
swallowing the meal while walking to the sink, she was stopped by a hand put in front of her. her eyes widened, and looked to the source of her stop. saiko turned her head left, to see a rather tall boy.
"erm- uh hey saiko! i could uh.. help with those dishes." the boy said.
saiko, still processing this sudden stop, stuttered out, "uhm, no it's uh.. it's ok. i don't want to bother you..." saiko looked away and moved around his arm.
walking forward, saiko suddenly stopped in her tracks. she slowly looked behind her.
"but uh.. thanks i guess. see you around." and there saiko walked away speedily leaving the tall male standing there awkwardly.
the taller male stood there, in what i could say was shock. this "spy" was not what he expected. he had been told from ray not to trust this new kid, that this new kid would try and get close to them, and trick them. but at this point, it seemed like this new kid wanted to get away. not get near, just to escape.
with hesitation, the tall male walked away, thinking of possible reasons for this unpredicted outcome.
