Behind
The thunder booms so deeply
The silence screams so sweetly
They jump from the windows
The little girls fix their bows
All is ready for the ceremony
Where the two will be joined in matrimony
What he doesn't know won't hurt him
She says going out on a whim
Proceeding to kiss the man she loves
Everything was planned perfectly including the release of the doves
C'mon, you can't blame her
She'll be forgotten soon, young sir
Something needs to be done to keep her on the radar
But I'm not sure she's so worried about the radar
This is her day to be a princess in white
She closes her eyes with all of her might
The tears run down her face
The smudged makeup staining her lace
These are not tears of joy
They are caused by a certain ploy
Her fiancée stands at the end of the aisle
From where she stands three feet feel like a mile
Lost for words and actions she runs
Swerving and passing through people her feet feel like tons
This is just another example of another life gone sour
Because of love, money and power
