My Lover Boy Part 3

Hours later I woke, laying in his arms. I had never noticed how cute his smile was. He always smiled around me and now I could say he smiled when he slept too. I also took notice that his hair wasn't it's normal straight. He must had taken a shower while I was a sleep. I had always begged him to let me see his hair when it was curly and I had finally got my way weather he liked it or not.

By the time he woke up it was around eight. I glanced over at my phone wondering why my parents weren't blowing it up yet. Surprisingly Chris had informed both of them that I had came over after school and fallen asleep. I was even more surprised when my father had texted him back saying as long as I was home by midnight it was okay. That had to be one of the best days of my life.

April was my birthday month and May was his. We dated all of high school and even collage. Every year as we got older we fell deeper in love. I went to Columbia Collage in South Carolina to study dance. He went to Duke University to study business. Every weekend he would come stay with me in my apartment. He did this for the four years we attended collage. I graduated spring of 2021 and he graduated summer of 2021. From July 1st till July 27th we stayed with my grandparents since I hadn't been to see them in so long.

After our trip we moved to Memphis and bought a house. It was a perfect house. Chris had been saving money to buy a house for years. Two stories and 5 bedrooms. Needless to say we had plenty of room. I got a job as a dance teacher at my old dance studio. The owner I had knew for years had gave the studio to her daughter, Deveyn. She hired me off the bat. Chris got a job at state farm as a insurance representative. We made enough money to make it.

On our tenth year anniversary and Chris had a big surprise for me. He had bought me the prettiest diamond ring. Of course him and my momma went topic it out together. She always had to approve of it first.

That night we had a get together with some old friends from school. Those friends being Ashlyn and her husband James, Mikalyn and her fiancé Dorian, Tyanna and her fiancé George, Emily and her husband Andrew, Eduardo and his girlfriend Giselle, and Colby and his wife Jane. Ashlyn hadn't changed at all. She saw us kiss and started yelling " PDA PDa PDA!!" This is why I loved my best friend.

We went to see Pitch Perfect 6 and then went to eat at Moes. After our get together me and Chris went on a mini date. I had no Idea were we were going till we got there. As a kid I had always loved the lakes at Shelby Farms. Chris being very smart decided to take me to one of my favorite spots by the lake. As we laid lake side in the moon light we talked about starting a family. I wanted twins and Chris wanted one kid. He wanted a little girl that we could name Christina. I had always loved the name but wanted more than one bundle of joy.

As we got up to leave Chris got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Of course I said yes without a doubt that was the guy for me. Nothing could change it.
