Chapter 6

Pearl's POV

What if she choose mahir over me?

My eyes started pooling at the mere thought of loosing her.

I tried hard to sleep but it is far away from my eyes.

After 3 hours, when I am contemplating about tomorrow's situation, I got a call from darsh. Why is he calling me at this time?
I lifted the call.

"Hello!! Darsh, what happened? Why did you call me at this time?"

"Pearlie, I got the information about mahir. It is very much important for you to know."

His words scared the shit out of me.

Bela's POV

I followed the order of Mr.Stranger and entered the room but as soon as I saw, tears started pooling my eyes and mahir's name skipped from my lips.

There, I found a big portrait of my smiling mahir.

I fell on my knees remembering all our memories.

Suddenly, I heard my name. When I turned back to look at the source, my eyes popped out looking at the Rockstar pearl.

What is all this? What is happening?

Pearl came near and made me stand.

I looked at him with a confused expression.

"I know what are you thinking. I am gonna answer everything now. Bela, whatever you are thinking as dream is actually not. I spent my whole day with you on holi. I heard mahir's name from your mouth and asked about him. Juhi's answer left me speechless. I have asked my friend darsh to get the full information about him. He is a private investigator."

His words literally made me go weak on my knees. I am waiting for him to continue further. He started talking with teary eyes.

"He called me last night and told why mahir behaved like that with you. He did all those intentionally to make you hate him. He...He.. was having br...brain tumor.. He didn't wanted you to shatter after knowing the truth. He.. He is no more bela."

Author's POV

As soon as bela heard him, her world turned upside down. She was about to fall down but pearl was quick enough to hold her.

Surprisingly, bela neither cried nor moved.

Fearing she might go in trauma, pearl lifted bela in his arms and got into back seat of the car with her in his lap as bela was not ready to leave him.

Soon, bela fell asleep on his shoulder.

Here, pearl is trying hard to control his emotions.

Instead of taking bela to her home, he took her to his home. He knew that bela's family can't see her like this.
