The Missing Five

Chapter 1

It was a cold gloomy night in Eastville Academy, the secret society members planned a prank that would scare the new five students that got recruited by Mr Maxwell. They were all hanging out at the basement where they would hold their secret society meetings.

Everyone was sharing their ideas on how they can pull off the best scare prank.

"Okay so, here it goes. We all wear bunny masks and we close the electricity so that it looks like a power outage."

"Will the teachers suspect a thing?" Ben said questionably

"No, because I asked Mr Dubwell if we can do the secret prank."

"You asked our fiction writing professor?" Jasmine Said

"Yes of course. I mean we're all part of his class right and we're all vying for the writing contract." Dana said looking at them with confidence

"I mean you aren't wrong but when will we do this prank?" Janessa said while eyeing Ben and Dana

"We'll do this during the football party, I mean we're gonna win against Riverstone High-"

"Plus, I heard that one of their football players got into juvie because of a party raid."

"The guy was dealing drugs and some rich businessman decided to enforce a search warrant."

"Hence the football player being in juvie until of course his friend bailed him out."

"As interesting as that sounds, we need to finish our plan." Dana said while crossing her arms

The night went on as they were finishing their plan. After hours of back n forths, they finally finished their plan, went up to their rooms.

It was finally 48 hours until their secret society prank, they all went to their fiction writing classroom, where they saw Mr Dubwell writing on the board.

"Mr Dubwell?" Dana said while going to her seat

"Today, we will be discussing about your writing project." He said while putting the chalk down

"What's the writing project?" Janessa said

"Well. Each of you need to write a story about your favorite book character, after which we will choose the best story to feature on our literary magazine." He said

"May we know the preferred genre?" Ben said while looking across Dana

"The genre Mr Walterbee would be mystery. Try to think outside the box."

"Interesting." Ben said back

"I can assume that you all will submit the first draft by Friday?" He said while looking at the group

"Yes sir. Of course." Dana said

"Excellent. You all are dismissed for now." He said while erasing the blackboard

The group exited the room with only one thought in their minds. Why didn't Mr Dubwell mention the writing contract. They all looked at each other and went to their rooms.

As soon as Dana went into her and Jane's room, she heard Jane talking to someone. She opened the door a bit to hear the conversation until she heard shocking news that would change everything
