The crew entered the town restaurant to get Dirken. After a few minutes weaving through the busy diners and waiters, they found him gorging on multiple dishes all at once. Dirken had a felt a tapping on his shoulder, prompting him to turn around. "Hmm, who's it?" He blurted with a mouthful of food. Behind him was a disappointed Sighlan tapping her foot, with the three kids standing behind her.
"Really? You couldn't have at least waited until we got to Ballex?" Dirken only responded to Sighlan with an awkward smile. After finishing him meal, he wiped his face and placed some money on the table. "Alright, I think I'm ready." As the five of them were starting to leave the restaurant, they heard a frightening scream at the back of the room. They looked back and saw a table of people being constricted by a weird substance. Hallah instantly knew what was happening and started sprinting towards the citizens.
Within a split second, Hallah slices the substance off of the frightened citizens. As the stuff plopped on the floor, it started moving towards the middle of the room. Suddenly, it had transformed into an elastian soldier. "YOU THINK YOU'RE SLICK KID!? SOLDIERS, REVEAL YOURSELVES!!" By command, various objects around the restaurant started transforming into more soldiers, even more than the previous fight. The wanderers took their stances and began to fight off the elastians.
The restaurant was booming as the battle was commencing. The patrons started running outside, and the employees coward behind the counters to avoid the fight. Sighlan whipped out her sword and began to slice through multiple soldiers. Hallah was right behind her, dashing through a crowd of soldiers. Dirken held out his hands, crashing a ton of soldiers back with a pulse of electricity. Goddard and Xanny were bashing numerous soldiers one by one.
Eventually, the elastian soldiers started surrounding them in the dozens. "Hey puff ball, I got a crazy idea, but we gotta lock arms like a chain-link. Are ya in?" Goddard nodded, and the two of them locked arms, facing away from each other. "Alright, let's charge and jump!" With a burst of green and pink energy, Goddard and Xanny jumped upwards and started running sideways against the wall of soldiers. The two of them were stepping on the elastian's faces, and they started getting faster with each cycle around.
After a few seconds, the two kids had spun fast enough that they became a hovering disk of energy. They began mowing down all of the soldiers, but were also headed towards Hallah who was also dealing with a handful of elastians. "Hallah, look out, we can't stop!" She looked behind her at the oncoming disk. Despite being a few inches away, Hallah was not only able to wrap around Goddard and Xanny, but she also grabbed the two them by their elbows. By sticking her finger in between their locked arms, Hallah had now started using the two boys as a make-shift weapon, speeding through more soldiers within a flash.
On the other side of the room, Sighlan started climbing a nearby cabinet to avoid the elastians from grabbing her ankles. "Ay, these creeps have gotta go one way or another..." She then readied herself, clutching her sword, and flipped into a jump. As she landed, her blade created a pillar-wave of energy that sliced an entire row of soldiers from one end of the room to another. Despite everything the crew could do though, more elastians just kept coming in. The five of them were fighting as much as they could, but the wanderers were becoming visibly tired.
Suddenly, a bunch of soldiers were being sliced up at the entrance of the restaurant, even though none of the wanderers were anywhere near there. As the dust cleared, it was revealed that Torgal rounded up some of the townsfolk with some of his own weapons. "Si, Dirken, Hallah, don't worry about us! You guys go do what ya need to do, we got this!" said Torgal with a thumbs up. Sighlan gave a thumbs up back and signaled her crew to follow her.
As the five of them ran out of the restaurant, some of the elastian soldiers tried chasing after them. Dirken started running backwards, facing the oncoming soldiers. "Keep moving guys, I got these jerks!" He began stretching his fingers out towards the elastians, shooting electricity around them. "HUH... HEH, YOU DIDN'T EVEN HIT US, YOU DUNCE!" Dirken gave a cheeky smile at the cocky soldier. "Heh, didn't I?" The soldiers were confused, but before they could even notice, a cavalcade of trees started collapsing on top of them.
"See ya beyond, suckers!!" taunted Dirken, slapping his butt at the squished soldiers. After a few mintues of wading through the thick jungle, the wanderers were able to make it inside the Ultimatum. As the ship was rising, the crew could feel an odd turbulence despite only being a few feet off the ground. "What the heck is going on out there?" said a confused Sighlan. She looked out from the Ultimatum's viewport, and saw that some soldiers were trying to attack the ship from the outside.
Sighlan clutched the control panel and turned her head to the rest of the crew. "Everybody hold on, I'm gonna do what called a 'pro pilot maneuver'..." Sighlan then turned one of the dials to 11, and began spinning the steering orb as fast as could. This caused the Ultimatum to start spinning at high speed, flinging all of the soldiers off of the ship. Some of the soldiers even splat onto the ground so hard that their bodies nearly disintegrated. "Looks like they couldn't handle the Sighlan style! Alright, let's head out!"
Pressing in the coordinates and halting the ship, Sighlan began angling upwards towards the sky. Some of the soldiers who survived the spin-out tried jumping towards the Ultimatum once more. "3... 2... 1..." A small light started forming from the exhaust pipe of the ship, towards the jumping elastians. "BLAST OFF!" yelled the wanderers, as the pipe blew a blue flame that incinerated the soldiers instantly and rocketed the crew into space.
