Marbles.

Cray looked at his partner. A girl. He felt bad for the frizzy haired woman but she seemed a little too energetic and... delusional for him. He heard her screams as she was dragged off, "My partner! Where's my partner?!" And he heard the scoffs of the man with the tattoo. He hadn't bothered to remember their names. Except for the man from Pakistan, Ali, his partner, Sang-woo, and Sae-Byeok, the North Korean girl. He looked over at the man with curly hair and his partner, 001, and grimaced. He felt bad for him, picking the wisest out of anyone. He had an advantage and a disadvantage at the same time. He looked at his own partner, who scowled at him back. He shuddered slightly. "Don't forget, I only picked you because I didn't want to go with that frizzy haired girl. You look creepy, you know that?" He looked at her. "I look creepy?" He responded.

You could say that yes, he did look "creepy". He had wide, open eyes which never seemed to blink, and he had more of a smaller frame, whilst his skin was clear and pale, almost looking like the doll from the first game. A very pale, wide eyed doll. He usually sat in the corner and stared at everyone. He wasn't interested in the money anymore. He was just interested on how far he could get before he lost. He looked at the ground. "I never considered the possibility that someone could see me as.. creepy." "Well you are. All you do is stare at us and you never blink, or talk, and when you do talk you sound monotone and you talk weirdly."

Cray was just about to answer when the pink soldiers started to take them to the course area. He didn't listen to a word they said. Eventually, everyone started grabbing sacks, and one was thrown in his hands. He looked at it. "It's marbles. We have to make our own game. And whoever loses, dies. You don't listen at all do you?" He looked around, before shaking his head. "I daydream."
"Whatever. Should we do what those two girls are doing? Play one round last minute and talk? You're going to die anyways."
"You seem very confident that you'll win."
"Yeah. So, where do you come from?"
"I'm not sure. Last time I saw my mother... it was in North of... somewhere. But I wasn't born there."
"Okay. Any siblings?"
"Two. My brother. He was my best friend, his name was Tobias. And my sister. Olive. She wasn't around much."
"Where are they now?"
"Why are you asking so many questions about me?"
"I just want to know you. Besides, you probably know everything about me. I have nothing to hide."
"True. Once my parents died.. my brother grew cold towards me. He never spoke to me, he yelled at me. After a week I could take it no longer. I killed him in cold blood and ran away. The police never found the body. My sister is working in a different country."
"....What country?"
"She's working in America. Not sure where."
"Oh. What happened to your parents?"
"You're really bold when asking questions, aren't you?"
"I pride myself to be."

Cray swallowed down tears, remembering the entire scene. "When I was seven... I walked home from school, like any normal day. My normal day was I would walk across the village, a good mile or so, to school and back, before taking another walk out to see how far I could go. It was handy. One day, I came back and found both my parents, dead. My mother was found in a defending position and my father died in his sleep. The police did nothing about it. My brother was seventeen, going on eighteen, and my sister, who was twenty four at the time took care of us." The woman stayed silent for a while, checking the timer.

"How long was this ago?"
"...I'm twenty, so this was thirteen years ago. My brother is thirty or thirty one, and my sister should be thirty seven."
"Wow..."
"Yeah..."
"Do you have.. anyone out there?"
"I had my wife and child. Before she left with her after an incident just last year. She thought I was delusional. It was more.. traumatic. If you could say."
"What was the incident?"
"Do you remember the one incident. Where the big laboratory was burnt down?"
"Oh yeah! Were you in it?!"

Cray nodded sadly. "Oh... okay..." He checked the timer. "We have around fifteen minutes left." "Okay. We should probs play our game, best to get it over with early." Cray nodded, sitting down and digging a small hole. "First to get it into this hole gets the others marbles." His partner nodded, sitting down. He did the same. She took one of her marbles, and threw it gently, and missed. Cray smiled slightly, the game might look simple but it took tactic with your throwing and rolling, for the hole was just narrow enough for the marble to slip in. He used to play it in his neighbourhood, and by god he was glad he did.

After three goes, the woman stared, tears filling her eyes. His marble. Cray's god damn marble fell gently into the hole. He looked at her, she looked back before swiftly punching him in the face, handing over her marbles. Cray got up and walked to the hole, picking up both his and her marbles. He looked around, a few of the teams were already dead. He looked at the soldier, who led him out. He didn't bother to look back at the woman, but just before she left, she shouted out, "I'll say hi to your mother for you!" And with that she was gone. He smiled, tears threatening to spill. He hoped she did. He hoped she did...
