My name is Sonia, I was born May 8, 2000, I have a brother named John, he was born June 26, 1997 and I also have a sister named Misty, she was born June 9, 1995. We had left our biological mother, Maria, when I was born, John was 2 years old and Misty was 5 years old. Then we went to our grandparents house, then our grandpa died and our grandma blamed us for his death. He had died of a heart attack. So when we left there we went into foster care. We went to this foster family 6 months later and it was alright but we didn't like it there because Misty had to steal food in order for us to survive. So DSS took us away from that family. After we left that family we went back into foster care. Then we went to the Page family's home and John and I loved it there, but Misty didn't like it there because she was so used to being the more mature person and she was also used to taking care of us so she didn't have a childhood. John and I were too young to remember what it was like with our biological family. Misty asked if her, John, and I could leave, but they misunderstood and they took her away and put her with a different foster family. John and I were devastated, I was so upset that I cried myself to sleep. John held his sadness in and shut everyone out. I was upset even more because he was all I had left. I also thought that he didn't love me anymore. Misty was adopted 1 year later by the Schuh family, and John and I were adopted that same year by the Page family. When you are adopted you can change your name. Misty changed her name from Misty Dawn Briskey to Maia Jean Schuh. John changed his name from John Dean Briskey to John Davis Page III after our dad, John Davis Page Jr. I changed my name from Sonia Marie Feezor to Sarah Ann Page. When Maia was 10 years old she had went into her room to watch a movie with her foster brother and he had locked the door and he raped her. After I he had raped her he said "if you tell anybody I will kill you and your sister." The only reason he brought me in it because he knew that Maia loved me to death and that she would die before I got hurt. She didn't tell anyone about it until he had left the house. She finally told her mom, Karen, what happened, where it happened and who did it. She was so scared that he was going to kill me. Karen promised never to take a boy under the age of 9 into her home ever again. So all the other girls Karen took into her home would never have to go through what Maia had to go through. Although, Karen promised never to take a boy under the age of 9 into her home ever again, she couldn't take away what happened to Maia. Also so the other girls Karen was soon to take into her home would never have to go through what Maia went through.
