Minbinsung (Minho x Changbin x Jisung)
Angst-
3rd person (Changbin) POV
It's when he sees the pictures on Instagram that he knows.
They look cute and seem to have had a lot of fun-
Without him, that is.
Changbin thinks he's probably overreacting, but it doesn't hurt any less. He shouldn't be jealous. Not about his boyfriends having a nice evening together. Having a date. He shouldn't feel bad, he should be happy for them. But he can't stop thinking about the fact that they didn't even think of inviting him although they most likely knew he was free. But it's wathever, he's probably over thinking. Again.
Just like the time before. And the one before.
But it's fine. Because they love him. He wants to believe so hard that they love him as much as he loves them.
Or maybe a bit less. But that would be fine too...as long as they love him just a little. He could live with that.
He continues to stare at the pictures for the longest time. He doesn't know how long, but it's long enough for Jisung's round cheeks and Minho's smile to be imprinted behind his eyelids as he closes his eyes to drift off.
It's the next morning when he wakes up. Alone, again. He's almost scared to look into Jisung's room, but a part of him needs to do it. Needs to know.
So he stands up and walks slowly and sleepily out of his room. Crossing the hall, he stops in front of his boyfriend's door.
He thinks maybe it's dumb. Maybe he should trust them and not be foolish about it. They just enjoy some time alone without him.
-He wouldn't blame them, sometimes he wants to get away from himself too. Take a break.-
But then another feeling churns his stomach and he just needs to look. To see how right he is.
The door creaks open and Changbin's breath catches up in his throat.
Two heads are peeking from under the covers. The bodies of his boyfriends interlocked to created a small huddle in the middle of the bed.
He smiles sadly to himself before turning back and closing the door behind him.
If what they need is a break from him for them to love him again he'll give it to them. He'd give everything to be with them like before.
And so from now on he thinks it should probably be better to distance himself from them. For as long as they'd need it.
Hopefully this way he could finally have them close to him like before.
Just like that, it begins. Minho nor Jisung seem to notice at first and Changbin is fine with that. He continues through, leaving them the space they need.
He do misses them, but at least he knows it's probably for the best. It's always better than failing at getting their attention like before anyways. So he continues on with his routine except his boyfriends aren't in it anymore. He doesn't ignore them, but he also doesn't seek for them anymore.
And everytime they smile, he praises himself for the good choice he made. Although, his heart aches more than he'd like to admit.
He waits patiently, thinking they will eventually come back to him.
It's after two weeks when he realizes that maybe he was wrong. That maybe they didn't need space for them to love him like before, but space for them to slowly let him down.
