Pierre was happy to see Farah joined them in the water after a while. Tom had gone back to Rebecca, so his girlfriend wouldn't be alone. They were playing a couple of games of volleyball before they all decided to take a break and have some snacks. Farah sipped on a can of Ice Tea, which Sean had brought. They sat in a circle next to each other, enjoying their time by just chatting about all sorts of things. Stoffel brought a deck of cards, and they put down a folded towel to place the cards on, making sure the cards wouldn't get covered by the sand too much. They played a couple of rounds to make sure everyone was familiar with the card game and its rules. Pierre and Tom were the first ones to lose all of their cards, and they just watched the others. Tom looked over Rebecca's shoulder in order to give her advice about which card to put in next. Farah pulled her knees to her chest, but her seating position wasn't really comfortable. She shifted to lean back on her hand, but that wasn't a very good position either. Pierre saw her moving around, and he patted his knee, motioning for her to come closer.
Farah looked over at him, slight hesitation written in her eyes, but that was long forgotten when his hands reached for her. She shuffled back to sit between his knees, and she could lean back against his chest, which prevented her spine from aching. Nobody said anything about it, they just continued to play the game. Pierre gently rested his hand on her waist, looking over her shoulder and to the cards in her hand. Sweet butterflies fluttered through her stomach, a gentle blush covering her cheeks. She felt comfortable right away, and that feeling with Pierre meant so much to her. Stoffel was the one who won the game too, and he suggested another round of playing. Everyone picked up their cards again after the deck was shuffled, but Pierre decided to just watch. He rather enjoyed looking at what Farah was doing, and which cards she picked. The ends of her hair were tickling his abdomen a little, and his hands mindlessly raked through the onyx strands, which felt soft against his fingers. Farah was out of her cards not much later, and she sat back to watch the game too.
She turned her head to look up at Pierre, who gave her a small smile. Farah smiled back at him, resting her head against his chest as well. The second round was won by Rebecca, and afterward they decided to pick up their stuff and get back to the apartment. They had been at the beach nearly the whole afternoon, and they were going to shower and get ready for dinner later this night. Pierre got up from the sand first, and he held out his hand, so he could pull Farah up. Farah collected her belongings and swung her bag over her shoulder. Pierre's arm wrapped around her shoulder, causing her to giggle lightly when they walked through the sand to exit the beach. "Really, what's up with the two of you?" Stoffel spoke up all of a sudden. "Just leave the lovebirds, Stoff," Rebecca scolded, her fingers curled around her boyfriend's hand. They both didn't reply, but Pierre's arm dropped from her shoulder, caressing her spine before letting his hand fall alongside him. Farah gave him a small smile, biting her lower lip as she looked away from him. They were both resisting to fall for each other, yet giving in at the same time. Pierre pushed his sunglasses over his eyes, covering his sparkling hues.
"What are you going to wear tonight?" Rebecca asked, a towel wrapped around her body and another one around her hair. "I think I will wear this," Farah said, spreading out the salmon pink mini dress with puffed up shoulders and a bow on the front. "You're spicing it up," Rebecca said, drawing out the last vowel as she came closer to her friend. "I'm just teasing a little," Farah admitted with a soft laugh. "But he's totally into you," Rebecca said, lowering her voice in volume. "I was nearly sure before, but after today when he pulled you closer like that, I was sure," Rebecca said. "He's so lovely," Farah sighed. "Although I'm keeping in mind that we'll possibly not meet again after this holiday," Farah said. "But that's something to think about later, just enjoy whatever happens. Let go and let live," Rebecca replied. "You're right," Farah nodded. "Good, I'll get dressed as well," Rebecca said and turned around to get to her room. Farah got out of the lazy wear she had been wearing after showering, and she pulled the dress over her head.
