"What?" I knew that I was being overly dramatic, but really? How could they not tell me that we are moving!?!

I knew my relationship with my parents wasn't the best but I thought they would at least tell me we were moving halfway across the country. I had absolutely no say in the matter whatsoever. But just like that my family went from big city lawyers and spoiled daughter to retail managers in a tiny town with a very unhappy daughter. They had no right to do this...it was middle of the year and I don't know if they realized this, but I was a pretty big deal in Chicago. I couldn't just leave all of my loyal fans!
"You are going to do this and with a smile in your face!" my mother practically screeched at me after another one of my failed attempts to get out of going. I couldn't believe she was being so insensitive!

Seven weeks later I found myself in Texas and not Dallas, Texas Midlothian, Texas! It was so small I swear I saw a water tower. A water tower? No skyscrapers in Midlothian, just a freaking water tower! Are you kidding me?

No matter what I said my parents refused to be reasonable and let me live in Chicago with this girl, Megan, who I met at one of the senior parties I went to. See? I went to that party as a freshman, big deal!

I griped the entire car ride there and I'm pretty sure my mom put in headphones halfway through but hey. I was going to make a point!

"Are you for real? You can't expect me to like it here! This is the cement capital of-"
"I'm so sorry," I stammered bending down to pick up the person's things that j and just knocked out of their hands.
"Hey it's okay" he half spoke half laughed. I looked up and saw a very attractive male staring back at me.
"Not bad!" "Huh?" He questioned.
"Nothing" I said a little bit too quickly. I blushed.
"Ok? Well I'm Caleb" I could see the smirk on his face.
"Brittany!" I stuck out my hand and he gladly shook it.
"Hey um can I get your number?" He asked as I turned to walk away.
"Yeah sure," I replied.
"You're new right?" he wondered.
"Yeah I got here yesterday," I responded.
"Well welcome to Midlothian. See you around?"
"I hope so!" he laughed at that then very slowly walked away looking back several tines at me. I on the other hand stood there looking like a complete weirdo smiling into the space that Caleb used to occupy.

*****This is kinda short but hey it's more like an introductory chapter so yeah. Please don't hate and give me pointers what you liked and didn't like and suggestions would be great. Thanks loves!*****
