We pick up Gram at his house. After we get Gram we all head off walking. After 30 minutes of walking I tell Marina that we have a long lost sister,and on our journey we are going to try and find her. Marina ask me what her name is I tell her it's Lina. We walk about 2 miles and neither Gram or me has talked to each other the whole time. Finally I say so why did you even come in the first place. He says "because I love you and I'm tired of my family too you aren't the only one with a crappy family." I said did you not here me on the phone my dad slaps me and he beats my sister and you think you have it rough. Gram screams back that his dads just as big of a jerk and although his dad doesn't beat him he doesn't talk to him. I apologize to Gram and tell him I didn't know. Gram starts laughing "why the heck are you laughing?" He said because all this time you have been trying to hide your bruises from me and I haven't invited you over cause when me and my dad do talk we fight,but really we both don't have the perfect families. I start laughing with Gram but Marina is crying. "what's wrong?" I ask. Through her tears and sadness she says what if we get caught he will kill me. "Who?" I ask. Dad she says he told me if I ever told anybody he beat me I wouldn't ever live it down,and if I ever tried to runaway he would track me down and kill me. I stop walking and grab Marina in my arms "no one is going to kill you." I whisper to her. We decide to stop walking for the night and make camp in the woods. It's summer so we decided not to build a fire that way no one could find us. While Gram is building us a little shelter I go and try to find some berries or something we can eat. When I get back the shelters done and Marinas asleep I walk up to her and tuck her in. Then I sit down with Gram so I say are we back together or what. "Yeah" he says. Marina is sprawled out in the shelter so me and Gram just decide to sleep outside. I couldn't fall asleep so I lay next to Gram and watch the stars. When I wake up the suns up and Marina and Gram are getting our stuff packed back up. We hit the road again,and after walking for about a mile we stop in a little town to get some lunch. I didn't bring much money so we just go to the diner and get a corn dog and a root beer. After we get done eating we decide we should get something to put in our bag so we have something for supper. Marina and me go to the market while Gram tries to find a map. When we get out Grams got a map and Marina and me have some bread and peanut butter. We hit the road again and after a while I stop and pull out Lina's files that I stole from dads desk. They say that Lina's 18 and that she lives in Alabama. At the bottom of the paper I find a cell number.
