sighing heavily, lauren put her phone down before sauntering over to beth who had just finished changing violet's diaper. violet cooed at the sight of her mom causing both girls to giggle, beth handed her over to lauren who held her tightly, bouncing her up and down as she marveled at the feeling of just having a happy and calm violet in her arms.
violet looked almost exactly like her mother, she had literally everything down. mer says lauren looked exactly like her as a baby, and they didn't have a hard time believing that. people said that violet got nothing from jaeden, except for her shyness maybe. she was a little shy. but lauren saw more than that.
violet had her father's eyes, sure both lauren and jaeden had green eyes, but jaeden's was the type where you sometimes couldn't tell if they were blue or green and that's exactly what violet's was. anyone else would've said they were lauren's, but ask someone like angela then she'd probably say otherwise. angela wasn't aware of violet's existence though. violet also had her's father's dimples. that was it so far, but lauren knew there was going to be more to come.
"hey look at this" audrey mumbled, showing her phone to her two best friends.

"you follow her?" beth snorted, then making a face at violet who was preoccupied with billy, lauren's bear that derek gave to her.
"on my burner yes i love her outfits so i keep tabs on them" audrey admitted, lauren laughed quietly, nodding in agreement before saying
"that's true. sateen's style is immaculate. she's drop dead gorgeous too. she and jaeden make a great couple"
lauren diverted her attention to violet, placing her on her hip before bouncing her up and down. audrey and beth shared a look of concern, then asking her
"laur, are you okay? about all this"
"of course i am. he's happy, i'm happy."
"i'll be alright. i have my beautiful, perfect little angel and she means everything to me. we have each other's back don't we vi?" she cooed, placing a soft kiss on the top of her daughter's head before saying
"i'll be okay. i don't need him. i got violet and she's all i need"
