Growing Pains

It had been around 8 months since the cast had wrapped season 2. Maddie and Chase returned to LA about 2 weeks after finishing. Maddie then left to go to Greece to film Knives Out 2. After such a busy year for them both, Chase and Maddie just wanted to spend some time together before having to travel again for the holidays.

Chase had booked a mini-vacation for them in Seattle, just to get away and spend time together, not doing anything but staying together in the room just enjoying each other's company and watching movies.

*flashback 8 weeks ago*

As the sunlight broke through the sheer white curtains of their bedroom Maddie began to wake up slowly. As she rubbed her eyes as they adjusted to the light she looked to her side and was met with the dark brown locks of her boyfriend who was peacefully sleeping beside her. She brushed his hair out of his face, and he began to stir awake. Looking over to see the blonde beauty beside him, he smiled. "Good morning gorgeous," he said, tucking the loose hair out of her eyes and giving her a small peck on the lips. " Hi, handsome" she replied.

"Have I ever told you how beautiful you look when you wake up?' he asked, she blushed and kissed his lips softly and said, "I love you so much."

Chase then sat up and stretched and got up to go to the bathroom to brush his teeth before going to make their coffee and let Milo out into the yard.

Maddie laid in the bed, looking out the window seeing the sunlight pouring through the curtains, realizing she only had a few minutes before chase would say that their coffee was ready she got up and went into the bathroom to go her morning skincare, once she got to the bathroom Maddie suddenly began to feel dizzy and lightheaded like she was going to faint. Slowly walking over to the sink, she quickly poured a glass of water, in hopes that would help her to feel better. Once the dizziness passed, she continued with her skincare routine.

Chase was standing in the kitchen in just his boxers finishing pouring the oat milk in the coffee when he felt two arms snake around his torso, embracing him in a hug from behind, Maddie said "hi", to which chase replied "hi." Maddie hopped onto the counter and grabbed her cup of coffee. Chase then went over to the fridge to grab some eggs. Maddie sit and watched as her boyfriend made some scrambled eggs for breakfast, his favorite.

As Chase began to make his breakfast Maddie began to feel sick again, but this time she felt like she was going to throw up, she quickly realized that she needed to make it to the bathroom, and fast.

Chase looked over at his girlfriend and could tell that she wasn't feeling so good, before he could even ask if she was ok, Maddie was jumping off the counter and sprinting back to their bathroom.

Maddie made it to the bathroom just in time, she closed the door, as she didn't want Chase to see her this way.

Chase hurried and took his eggs of the stove so he could follow his girlfriend to the bathroom to see what was going on. Once he made it to the bathroom he noticed the door was closed, he could hear her through the door as she threw up. He felt so bad, he knocked and asked "mads... can I come in" to which she replied "yes." He came up behind her and held her hair back and gently rubbed her back to try and offer any relief. He hated to see Maddie not feeling good. It hurt him as much as it did her.
