A month had passed and things had certainly been going well for everypony. Nightmare Moon was gone, so there was no more of that "eternal night" drama to deal with. Princess Luna was still recovering from the experience, but at least Princess Celestia and her were finally back together after so long. You took some occasional trips to Canterlot Castle to check up on things between them and the verdicts had been mostly positive. Luna seemed to brighten up whenever she saw you visit, so that was enough motivation for you to come back every now and then.

As for Twilight and the others, well... they were the talk of the town, in fact all of Equestria's been talking about them. Twilight seemed to have really turned herself around in the time that you spent with her during the Nightmare Moon adventure. She was more open-minded, warm-hearted, and above all, happier. It honestly felt like a real achievement to have influenced her change of heart.

Despite all this, you really hoped that was the final adventure you'd have in your life. Retirement was really all you were looking forward to, but this Element of Harmony you've just been assigned to made you fear that you may never get that. Then again, the books say that there were only six Elements, so chances are it won't even be necessary. To your knowledge, all that remained of any evil had been eradicated... for now at least.

Right now, you were in your home, having a small cup of espresso. The room was quiet, peaceful, and... a teeny bit somber. Though, it's not like that really mattered to you. You're retired. This is really all it is; kick back and relax. Looking around, you've taken pride in this new established home of yours. Furniture was neatly organized; floor was spotless; and not a single dust particle was around in your house. Yup, seems like things really are looking good for you or at least they were, until... you spotted a certain picture atop a shelf. You put down your coffee and levitated the picture down with your magic. It was a framed photo of you and some other ponies, huddled together in front of a tree that appeared to be on top of a hill. You chuckled a little as nostalgia began to kick in.

(P/N): Good times...

*Knock! Knock! Knock!*

A loud series of knocks from your front door made you jump slightly in your seat, disrupting you from your tender moment. Groaning, you sludge out of your chair, teleport the photo back to where it was and trot over to the front door to your house. You peaked through the peephole and saw Twilight standing on the other side which made you sigh in relief.

(P/N): *thinking* Oh good, it's just Twilight. I was afraid that one sales pony came back with a "special once in a lifetime offer." Pfft, they just never learn.

You thought with a shake of your head before opening the door which made the lavender Unicorn smile.

(P/N): Well, well, if it isn't the adorkable, prized pupil of Princess Celestia. How's it hanging, Twi?

Your greeting made Twilight playfully roll her eyes.

Twilight Sparkle: I've been okay. How's it been with you?

(P/N): Pretty good, actually. I was just inside enjoying some espresso until you came by. It's fine, by the way. It's always nice when you or one of our friends visit.

You reassured her, eliciting a sigh of relief from her.

Twilight Sparkle: Well, that's good. I came over to see if maybe you were interested in accompanying me and Spike in helping Applejack with her apple harvesting.

(P/N): Apple harvesting, huh?

Twilight Sparkle: Yep! Seemed like she was in a hurry, so she asked me to help her. I was passing by your place and I wanted to see if you wanted to come and help. I sent Spike ahead, so he'll be there before us. Applejack also promised that we'd have lunch afterwards. So, you wanna come?
