"Are you happy?! Are you happy now that you finally broke me?! Well congrats! You got what you wanted all along!  Take a fucking bow, because it's over, Logan! It's over!"

It's those words that haven't haunted her every thought for the past 6 months, 3 weeks, 2 days, and 7 hours. Those are the last words she said to Logan.

She wishes she hadn't said them; but she still couldn't regret them. She hopes they caused him at least a fraction of the pain they had caused her, because he deserved every last bit of it.

He had slept with who she had thought was her best friend. She had caught them in the act.

She wasn't supposed to be home for a couple more hours, but a storm was supposed to have been rolling in, so her boss had let her leave early.

She had, of course, gotten home as fast as she possibly could so she wouldn't get caught in the storm. She walked in the house and at first everything seemed normal.

Until she heard Logan moaning. And she was sure it was him. That wouldn't have been that bad if she hadn't also heard someone else- at least it was a girl, thank god, Gabbi hadn't turned him gay- also moaning.

She had noticed them growing further and further apart lately, they had been busy, but she thought they could talk it out. She hadn't that he would cheat on her. He wasn't that guy.. at least she thought he wasn't that guy.

She went upstairs and opened the bedroom door shocked  yet again. It wasn't even a stranger he had been sleeping with. It was her best friend. Or who she thoght was her best friend. The two people she had trusted most in the world; and they had betrayed her. They had done this, knowing that if she found out she would be completely heartbroken. But they had done it anyways.

They had seen her- standing in the doorway, tears flowing down her cheeks, too stunned to do anything- and they both had their jaws dropped in shock.

Gabbi stood there, tears flowing out of her eyes, giving the the most pain and hatred filled look anyone had ever seen. If looks could kill, they would have died slowly, just to know how much pain she was in right now. "I can't even look at you right now." she whispered. and it wasn't just because they were  naked, though that contributed slightly.

She ran downstairs, fully knowing that they would follow as soon as they were dressed.

Five minutes later, there they were, looks of guilt in their faces.

"How could you? My best friend and my boyfriend? Are you fucking kidding me?! What is wrong with you two? The two people I trust most in this would and you pull a shitty move like this?

Rebecca, her worst friend she's ever had,  went to speak, "Gabbi I'm-'

"Fucking save it, Rebecca! You've been after since the first time you saw him! Just get out! Never talk to me again, ever! Get out!"

Rebecca bowed her head and left.

Gabbi turned to Logan, "And as  for you.." but as she looked at his perfect face all her anger faded. It was replaced with pain- so much pain. The kind that kills a soul. Her voice cracked as she said "Why?"

"Gabbi, please-"

His pleading made her angry again. So angry, she said the words she'd ever mean. She'd never want to mean. She whispered, so low he barely heard it, "I hate you."

His eyes filled with tears, "Gabbi, please just let me-"

"Explain what?! You don't trip and fall into my best friend vagina Logan, that's not how it works! You knew exactly what yo were doing and exactly what would happen when I found out! That's what you wanted all along, isn't it? You wanted to break me."

"No, Gabbi I didn't! I swear! That was ever what I wanted! I swear!"

She shook her head, "I don't believe you, Logan. I can't trust you ever again! You've fucked everything up!" she chuckled darkly- the sad sound of a once happy person slowly breaking, going slightly mad. "But I guess you knew that."

"Gabbi please just-"

"No!" she shouted. Then she sighed. "Are you happy?! Are you happy now that you finally broke me?! Well congrats! You got what you wanted all along!  Take a fucking bow, because it's over, Logan! It's over!"

"Gabbi please let me explain. You don't understand."

"You're right, Logan. I don't understand. Please tell me, what part of todays events suggests I should let you explain? Was it when you lied and said you were hanging out with some friends? Or was it when I came home to find you fucking my best friend? Which one of those suggests I should let you explain?"

He was silent.

"That's what I thought. Just.. just go, Logan. Please. If you ever loved me in the slightest leave. Go. And don't come back."

Logan nodded, "Just.. please know, I really am sorry.."

Gabbi didn't reply. She looked at the floor and waited to hear the front door slam, before she collapsed to the floor in a heap of sobs. Her body racking. She had no one to turn to for comfort, because the only person that could heal her, heal the broken heart and soul was the person she had just kicked out, the person who had killed it all in the first place.

And that's what killed her the most.
