I was right. Later that day, during lunch, I found out from Gigi that the boy we ran into earlier was indeed a new student in Gigi's class. That meant he was two years younger to me. His name was Harry Styles.
It suited him, I thought. Just as I was about to ask her about Zayn, I saw him walk in. For some reason, that boy intrigued me. I felt this kind of instant connection with him. I hadn't spoken a word to him, yet all I wanted was to take that fear away from his eyes. I followed his movements as he walked with his head hung low. I watched him as he slowly made his way to the lunch trays but only picked out a fruit.

"Lou, are you alright? Your eyebrows are all furrowed, you look tense"
I snapped out of it and realized I was being silly. Stressing over a boy I did not even know, plus I'm being stupid, he's probably just not hungry.

"Yeah I'm okay, Do you know where Zayn's at?"

" Oh yeah he got held up in English, something about his upcoming essay, he said he'll see us after school"

"Ah okay, cool thx"
.
.

.

"You sure you're fine?"
"Yup I'm good"

As the bell signaled the end of lunch, I proceeded to head towards the theatre. Ms. Flack did not appreciate students being late.

"Oof! Shit man, I'm sorry"
I kneeled down to pick up the books sprawled across the floor. I looked up only to find those same green eyes looking back at me.
"Sorry" he mumbled.
" No, I should have looked where I was heading."

"Are you new here?" I asked, even though I knew the answer to that. He simply nodded then whispered something about he can't get caught, needs to go, hide, he'll come and suddenly scampered away. No surprise there, but I was blatantly confused. Was he alright? He looked like he was going to start crying. Am I intimidating? Nobody has ever said so to me before. I wonder what is up with him as I proceed to class before I'm late.-----------------I slumped into my bed as soon as I returned to my room. It had been a long day. I just got back from a long shift at the diner. It did not pay much, but we were all doing as much as we could to keep our bank balance away from empty. Daisy and Phoebe were still young, their future should not have to be compromised and Lottie, Fizz and I did our best to try and help mum and Dad. Fatigue and hard work brought sleep naturally as I felt my eyelids get heavier. However tonight, I did not fall asleep in hopes of a better tomorrow. Tonight I closed my eyes to green eyes staring right back at me.
