"How would you feel about going to a hero school?" Gon blinked. Huh? Aizawa and him were eating breakfast about a week later, scrambled eggs. Aizawa had started to get a feel of his tells. Like, when he was confused or when he didn't want to answer a question. "I teach at U.A, it's a highschool. You'll have to wait 'till you 16 to go, that's about two and a half years" Then he blinked, and sighed heavily. "You don't go to school though" He ate a small bite, then swallowed. "Never been" Aizawa glanced up, then frowned slightly. "Never? You've never been to school?" He shook his head, Aizawa furrowed his brow slightly. "Then who taught you?" He shifted slightly, an image of aunt mito flashing through his head. Gon looked down. Dawn meowed loudly from the floor, before jumping up onto his lap. Gon had finally figured out what Dawn meant by a 'spell'. It was one of those times when Gon got a flashback or was reminded of something that was linked to a painful memory, and was usually accompanied by a wave of emotion.

Aizawa sighed. "Alright fine. There's something I've been meaning to ask though" Gon glanced up, chewing a little on some eggs. He shifted slightly, then looked Gon in the eye. "That girl, with the silver hair" Gon blinked. "Silva" He nodded. "Her. She said something about...a fake smile? Can you even smile?" Gon met Aizawa's eyes, then made himself smile again. His eyes widened with shock, placing the fork down. "Can you...speak like that?" Gon's smile faded, and he mumbled. "What do you mean by that?" Aizawa pointed to his face. "When you smile, do you still speak like your emotionless? Or can you replicate that fake happiness with your words as well?" Gon didn't know, so he decided to find out. Gon smiled again, this time a small sweet smile. "H-Hey Mr. Aizawa, this good enough?" He grinned. "Perfect" Gon faked a laugh, then glanced down at Dawn. Dawn was staring up at him, he let his fake smile vanish as he stroked her.

"That's impressive. In order to be in a school environment, you need to learn how to maintain that at all times" Gon nodded, then Aizawa huffed. "You can start your practice by going to visit your friends" His mind pulled a blank for a minute, weren't all his friends dead or long gone? Then he realized. Oh. "I don't know if I want friends" Aizawa sighed tiredly, then stood up. "from now on, you have to leave this apartment for at least an hour each day" Gon nodded. "The only rule about going out is that you have to be back by 6:00. If your planning on going out later, then you have to get my permission first"

About 5 minutes later, Gon was out the door again. He couldn't remember where the location was, it was almost a week ago. So he glanced down at his recent text messages and scrolled up to when he sent the location of the street next to the hideout. Gon started walking, although with a purpose now. The last time he'd walked aimlessly, looking around and having no idea where he was going. Now, he went straight and directly the way he wanted to go. The walk only took an hour and a half that way, then he turned the corner to the alleyway and slipped the keychain out of his pocket. He walked up to the door and quickly pressed the key in, then tapped and heard the click. He pulled the key out and opened the door, then tapped the circle right before he closed it. "Gon!" Echo yelled, jumping up from a desk she was drawing at and startling Gon, Dawn, and Silva alike. Dawn never went anywhere without Gon anymore, he literally couldn't even take a shower or use the bathroom without Dawn scratching at the door to be let in.

"Oh my god can you be any louder?" Silva grumbled, closing her computer and standing up with a stretch. Echo pumped her arms up and down in the air. "Ahh! It's been a whole week! Where were you? I thought you'd never come back!" She said loudly. Gon walked over to the same bunch of blankets he'd sat on last time and settled down, the two girls in front of him. Silva was on her beanbag chair, Echo was on her knees. Dawn glanced over at her and meowed a little. Echo huffed. "Sorry" Silva laughed. "Did she scold you for being loud?" Echo puffed out her cheeks and rolled her eyes. "anyways" Then she turned back to Gon with a grin. "How long can you stay? What do you want to do? When are you coming back? Wh-" Silva covered her mouth with a hand. "Shut up" she said flatly. Gon looked down. "Mr. Aizawa said I have to practice faking emotions so I can go to school" He said, voice monotone as ever. Echo blinked. "Why can't you just...show real emotions?" Silva jabbed her with an elbow and a scowl. "He can't."
